The Guild of Seeker Mages!

Greetings to all of you I am Animeman73, head of this role playing game endeavor, Grand Magus, and Chief Librarian of the Guild of Seeker Mages. And I need your help.

Here in this castle things are quiet and very, very dull. I'm looking for forum members here in the land of Kumoricon who would seek to become intiates in my guild. Here in this castle which is our home (RPG setting) I am always in need of new intiates and mages to help with the various tasks. I need Seeker mages in these catagories:

Caretakers,
Researchers,
Military.

I also need:
Druids (Spellcaster whose magic comes from nature)
Knights,
Guards,
Scouts


As I am so short of help there is a 100% of advancement as I'm looking to fill the positions of deaprtment heads in the just named catagories.

If you're interested in taking part in this RPG please come and join us I've now officially opened my Guild to all people from all factions and other groups (RPG threads) who wish to join. I will assign a task to all intiates and all department heads and assign experience points based on project completion or p[rogress. As Chief Librarian of the Guild Of Seeker Mages ir is our duty to collect information for our fair and balanced Kumoricon chronicles. Take as much information as our subjects are willing to give and bring it here so that I may note it in my archives.

KUMORICON CHRONICLES:

KONOHA OREGON SHINOBI-Established by leader NARUNIK on the date of 11/9/09 at 10:44 p.m. by Naruto enthusist NARUNIK. Existance hereby declared legitimate by the Kumoricon Chrionicles and the Guild of Seeker Mages.

11/12/09 KONOHA and Ametsuki openly declare hostilities on each other at 8:59 p.m. The fighting in this battle is sure to be interesting we the Guild of Seeker mages will observe, and record this battle in the Kumoricon Chronicles.

11/12/09 at exactly 11:15 p.m. KONOHA member fhqwhgads41185 completed his mission and was made a level 4 ninja by power and decree of Shinobi head NARUNIK. . Promotion has been acknowledged and written in the Chronicles. Chak-kra instillment in new Level 5 ninja proved excruiatingly painful. Perhaps the Amekage should consider the fine art of more subtle chak-kra installment in the future.

11/12/09 my mystic sources have informed me that at 11:49 p.m. yesterday a fellow by the name of Tanis founded a group (thread) for Pirates. I must get in contact with them, annouce my presence and begin collecting data on them for the chronicles. BLAST AND BOTHER THIS JOB WOULD BE SO MUCH EASIER IF I JUST HAD SOME HELP AROUND HERE!

Negotiations with the Ametsuki clan have ended in disaster. It would appear that this clan is very paranoid and is not what we first thought them to be. None the less we of the guild of seeker mages will take no action against them. At least we won''t unless they see fit to attack our abode. Until themn we remain as we are neutral and extending to all factions the olive branch of peace. Still the castle (Forum RPG) is still way too quiet I need help..NOW!!!

KUMORICON CHRONICLES CONTINUED:

11/13/09  10:17 a.m. NARUNIK, Amekage of the KONOHA SHINOBI clan came for a visit. After he read the chronicles he decided that the Guild may record their history, perhaps they'd also be willing to share of the culture, and any other information they feel comfortable giving. The important thing is KOHONA SHINOBI clan has given their permission. It dsaddens me to know that this other mysterious Ametsuki clan is so paranoid. All we can do now is meditate and pray that one they see fit to open up their culture, and history to us.

Ninja Blackstar of the KONOHA OREGON SHINOBI clan given an assignment on this day of 11/13/09 by Amekage NARUNIK at 3:44 p.m. for unknown experience bonus. Amekage has promised Blackstar of the KONOHA SHINOBI clan a massive xperience bonus.

Mystic sources inform me that the other clan is up to something involving trying to keep us out. May the heavens have mercy not this bit again!

In the distance, Ally can see the fog of darkness looming...
the sun setting on another day and encasing the world in a
twilight spectacle. From her vantage point amidst the trees
she can see lights flicker in the halls of the castle as mages
dart from one room to another, clutching talismans and
enchantments her vision cannot discern. With the cool breeze
of the on-comming night she smells a warm mixture of broth and
noodles with what may be either chicken or tuna coming from
the Shinobi camps. A light grumble in her stomach reminds her
of the grueling training she has begun with a hunger strike in
obedience to her masters. She give the moon a nod.

"Dimensions and Nuetrality cannot save even the highest among
your craft Grand Magus... the true test of your innocence and
expertise comes swiftly on the wings of fate..." Her words are
sharp but melodious, like a song that might prelude a great and
monsterous act.

Not even I could stop what is coming... not that a Samurai
would ever protect these incredulously pompous ranks from their
humility and punishment, A sigh escapes her lips and she retreats
back into the shadows of the forest, letting the fog finally roll into
the marshes surrounding that magnificent castle.

Ally got the surprise of her life when Animeman73 commented. "You know it's funny, we try and stay neutral and be nice to everyone and next thing you know people get the wrong idea."
Allykat whirled around with her sword to take a shot at the voice and found herself cleaving fog. Animeman73 tsked her. "Really Miss Samurai that temper of yours is going to get you into trouble. We only seek to learn of other cultures and stay neutral and you guys want to take us down? Now that's not very neighborly. And by the way did you really think you'd go unnoticed? The guild of Seeker Mages has many nasty little defenses and has been around far longer than you realize. I don't know what your beef is with us, but we want no part of NARUNIK and Kistiene's little war. As a matter of fact we're planning on sending someone to learn the culture of the Pirates if all goes accordingly. You talk about innocence, sheesh more like some people need to get a good head on their shoulders and realize some people here on the world of Kumoricon...ACTUALLY MEAN WHAT THEY SAY! Me, as an example. if you'd be willing to join us that's just fine. If we could study you and the Samurai culture that'd be fine. But please refrain from threatening us or trying to sneak around because you can't fool a Grand Magus. We just want to learn the ways of others and be left alone."

KUMORICON CHRONICLES CONTINUED:

11/13/09 Update at 7:37 p.m.: My network of magical sources has informed me that that samurai Ally has been sneaking around the other factions. She can speak riddles until the proverbial cows come home. I know well enough about riddles and vague speak to know that from what she's implying something very big, and very nasty is coming. Something tells me I should, after I'm done with this entry, strengthen the magical defenses of this place then tell my new apprentice Superjaz to get ready because something's coming...and it doesn't sound good! And I also should keep a close eye on that samurai because my gut intuition tells me she's got something to do with this!

Ally's feet were rooted to the spot. Truly an effort must have been made
and a great strength taken to track her in the decptive fogs... How HAD
he appeared within her range? And for her bokken to miss... Her fingers
trailing the inscription on the hilt instinctively, perhaps not doubting it's
power, but merely to check that it was still in place. Courage weld up
inside her. If this is when I must meet him face to face... then so beit.

"Greetings Magus... I never expected this formal meeting would come
so soon... Or that you would be so blinded by your own mission that
you would actually offer your hand in friendship to me." Her words
sliced at him sweetly, as if it was common knowledge what she was
or for that matter who. "I do not speak for Samurai across these land,
for we are not a people of clans and tribes and halls of stone. I serve
my lords and masters... which are certainly interested in you. I take no
part in your wars or theirs... but be assured that you will take part in
mine. Prepare your guild and knights Animeman73! I am not the one
you should fear, the come much swifter... with much less mercy and
words... I am merely the scout... the herald of a greater threat. Pray you
that in all the times and in all the worlds you have chronicled you have
found a way to defeat the curses that lay before you... or lestwise you
can convince those of the Pirate, and ninja clans to band together to
prove your salt and worth against something truly colossus compared to
all your magic and all their jistu combined." A long silence is followed
by her departing words.

"Leader of the mages, think not on my pressence, I assure you that none
in your keep will fall by my hand for some time, you may spend your
preparation days following my movements if you wish but know that you
waste your precious moments with these journals when you should be preparing
(LEVELING) for the comming storm... with that, I bid you farewell."

As if the fog were to become some corporeal being it swelled around her and
would appear to have eaten her alive if the Mage Lords eyes were to be trusted.
Her presence in the foggy marsh no longer distinguishable from the dew on the
grass.

"Greetings to you spoon princess MiriaRose and I do apologize to you. Word from my magical sources had reached me of your fair land. With everything that's happened recently I forgot about you I'm so brilliant...NOT! I do apologize for not contacting you, I feel so embarassed about this, but if you and the spoon castle would be willing I'd love to send one of my seeker mages to learn your history, culture, and take any information you want us to have down for the Kumoricon chronicles. We acknowledge your right to exist. We want no trouble from anyone be assured. And again my most sincere apologies and a humble request to study the land of the Spoon Castle."

Animeman73 then looked out on where his magical clone was standing in the fog at the edge of the swamp near the Seeker Mages' stronghold. He shook his head, "Really Miss Samurai trying to use the old fog and mirage magic trick to try and sneak away? You can't fool me becauuse no matter what you think you know I can say been there seen that. I don't know who these masters of yours are yet. But I'd be more than happy to team up with Lord NARUNIK and Chief founder Kisitiene's clans if it's to preserve the very fabric of space and time. I've sensed the powerful evil. It's faint now but I sense it. And I am not a fool to fall victim to the dangers of arrogance. I'll put my pride aside and happily apologize to Founder Kisitiene if and when she's willing to talk. I only hope for Kumoricon's sake it's sooner rather than later"

Animeman73 then turned from the castle window he stared out and with a snap of his fingers sent his magical clone back to it's hiding place. Animeman73 sighed and shook his head before he growled, "Ho boy, something tells me my life is about to get a whole lot more complicated."

((I know guys! It's okay... I love role playing! I think you are all gonna like the boss battles I have planned! Is the spoon castle really involved? I thought you were just joining the ninjas? I'll go check over there now!))

From the depths... a warm steam crosses her already moistened brow.
The air is thick and hot with anger... she can feel it and she knows it is
directed towars her. A voice beckons from the darkness and eyes of
crimson beat down on her small mortal figure, increasing the temperture.

"You..." The dark figure hisses "You would speak to the mortals without
permission... you would come so close to the shadow peoples that you
might be seen! You would DEFY US!?" His words scrape at her insides.

"No..." A weak answer leaves her lips, barely making it into existence. "No,
I... I was confronted and... his magic was strong... I have not had a
chance to observe all the peoples of this land... I need more-"

"-TIME? Time is a valluable commodity little girl! And it is TIME that we have
precious little of! You will do as you are required... and you WILL bring me
the information I need... Lestwise I may just use you as bait for the leaders
of these clans... ha..ha..hahaha!" The laughing continues, echoing into her
bones as a burning steam rushes around her transporting her to the far
reaches of Kumoricon... near the spoon kingdom...

Animeman73 who'd been watching the whole ordeal after casting a spell on his pellintire set it down and sighed as he shook his head. "I knew I shouldn't have got out of bed this morning. If this means what I think it means then the world of Kumoricon is in serious trouble. Well then time to go to work."

Enter Merritt house hold of a thrusday morning.  I have work at 1pm, and one of my goals is to provide my family with at least one hot meal a day. We do not seek to start a war Amekage NARUNIK and usually we are content to write history and culture. But the Guild of Seeker Mages has another duty...to be vigilant against any and all who would seek to tear apart the fabric of space and time. This is where Pirates, ninjas, and wizards must unite!

(Actually NARUNIK it's not a real war it's RPG fun kind of like the battles in your CRPG games. This is no real war THIS...is the fun of role playing in a pretend crisis situation. So you and the moderators need not worry. This brillant stroke to hopefully bring us all together was made possible by AllyKat.)

MAGNIFICENT JOB MY APPRENTICE!!! 2000 experience points taking you up to the rank of level 2 making you an acolyte. Plus you get an extra 2000 experience points for the extra effort. Hard workers who go the extra mile are always appreciated in the guild.

Now as a Level 2 acolyte you have your choice of specialities (You may choose another at the next level) here they are (Choose 1):

1. Researcher Mage: They specialize in inventing new spells, incvantations, and potions. Other Researchjers travel the land of Kumoricon gathering information on the varipous happenings of the other factions Currently we know of a ninja clan, and the spoon castle which are open to gathering information on their culture and the various happenings at these places.

2. Caretaker Mage: This seemingly humble spellcaster uses their spells and incantations to see to the castle and everything within. Basically seeing that all the bookshelves are dusted, the floors are cleaned, and that everything's kept organized. With recent events (Ally's little piece of brillance) I'm sorry to say that my housecleaning skills have been lacking.

3. Military Mage: These mages are the ones who put the spells and potions we create to practical use. Nobody likes war it's a bloody and nasty affair. But we must be prepared to defend ourselves from thoise who would seek to harm us. We do not use our military might to oppress others our oath of neutrality sees to that. But we use our magic to defend ourselves and maintain the balance of space and time.

11/13/09 11:28 p.m.: The Guild's newest apprentice Superjaz achieved the rank of Level 2 acolyte. She summarily chose to be a Caretaker Mage. The heavens know I could use the help around this place. With the addition of 2000 extra experience points Superjaz ids halfway towards her Level 3 promotion. * (1 stars) given to Caretaker Mage Superjaz.

Now Jaz you're next task as a caretaker Mage shall be this, It will be a two-fold job. Please summarize what you do. Oh and by the way you get 500 extra experience points if something funny happens. The shelves in our library's Philosphy section need to be dusted see to it. The second task is, one of our finest philosphy books, the contemplations of William Smith (Get the joke) needs to have it's leather bindings replaced. See to it and you will get 1500 experience points for the task. (Tell a story or make a report of accomplishing the deed to me)

But there are many a closet in this place that have been cluttered by my predecessor Mages over the years. I need you to go through the closets of this place. See if you can dig up a Japanese Animation moving vision with music (Find an AMV on Youtube) one that has the ability to make a person cry or one that is exceptionally beautiful (Pick any one of the the two). Then use your magic to give me the magical code (give me a link) for it. Your reward will be 1500 experience points. 11/14/09 I recieved a visit from a new intiate of the KONOHA SHINOBI clan name of bucket_stalker. They bushwacked me with a chak-kra spell called spam. For his success at 10:19 p.m. he was promoted to a level 3 ninja by Amekage NARUNIK. At the time I was looking at the old files on the incident on Ashan (Playing Heroes of Might and Magic V: Tribes of the East). My magical defenses were down and they ambushed me! I really must pay closer attention. Especially with that blasted samurai and her bosses out there somewhere. Amekage NARUNIK was just lucky I was otherwise or there could have been a war situation. As it stands I've had a chance to calm down. But if the Amekage thinks he's going to get away with this he has another thing coming! Those chocolate bars I had him eat were laced with a special potion I whipped up called Milk of Magnesia super ultra. All I have to do is say the magic words and they'll get the surprise of a lifetime. Something that for the sakes of the all-powerful moderators of the world of Kumoricon would best not be discussed. Still, I knew my time spent with that fellow Mr. Bean would pay off someday.

Animeman73 was surprised. "Hmm, odd I'd intended that the potion activate when I spoke a certain magical activation phrase? Guess there's another reason I need some Researcher Mages, there's still a few bugs in the works. Oh boy, I guess I have Jaz's next assignment when she's done with her current. 11/14/09 at 11:19 p.m. Superjaz completed her assignment as was promoted to level 3 mage giving her the rank of mid-level acolyte. Blast it I forgot to ask her what she wanted to do in the area of specialization next. Oh well I may be powerful and quick of mind and wiut but even I make mistakes. Oh well, such is life. Anyway I've assigned her to clean out the closets of this place and look for a moving image (AMV on Youtube) and see if she can bring more intiates into the Guild. I could use some more people. This castle can get so lonely and boring without the wonderful unpredictability of other people.

On 11/14/09 at exactrly 11:49 p.m. Amekage NARUNIK issued a challenge to the Ametsuki ninjas to compete in the CHUNIN exam but have it be based on the ideals of sportsmanship and fair play. Interesting idea to help cool tensions between the two camps. Well just as long as they don't start having Gundam fights and hiring Domon Kashu as a pilot I seriously doubt anything bad will happen...I hope.

Well done, I'd heard you'd had imagining abilities (Youtube site) but this was a splendid job well done. 1500 Experience points towards your Level 4 promotion pplus an extra 500 for the extra moving image. Usually I'm not into techno beats but something about the image's flash and imagery really grabbed me. You're halfway towards you next promotion, as you gain levels it'll take more and more experience to reach the next level. Now before I assign you your next task you have a skill * (star) to spend  in any of the aformentioned MAge catagories

Researcher Mage, Caretaker Mage, Military Mage. Whatever your choice you should know you're a level away from becoming a High-level acoylte which will qualify you for the position of hief  head of any of the aforemention catagories. Will you choose to dual specilaize or put that skill in the Caretaker Mage catagory? Make your choice and let me know when you have the time. 11/15/09 at exactly 4:52 p.m. my magical sources reported to me that ninja Jacob_Blackfeather of the Ametsuki ninjas wanted founder Kisitiene to reject the offer of peace from Amakege NARUNIK. I have advised my sources to also keep an eye on him. There's something about that one and his bloody murder attitude that could be trouble. Like the old adage goes keep your friends close keep your enemies closer. I should also take the necessary precautions in case of assasination attempts against Jaz and myself. Sigh, how I long for the day when people will be able to live without this ridiculous fighting. But alas, until that day comes we of the Guild of Seeker Mages must be ever vigilant.

At 5:50 p.m. on 11/15/09 it was made official that the Ametsuki and the KOHONA SHINOBI clans will duel at the CHUNIN ninja exams. The Guild shall oversee and recorde this event and it's happenings for the chronicles.

11/16/09 at 8:05 p.m. The leader of the Ametsuki clan threatened Amekage NARUNIK. It would appear despite his best efforts that Amerstuki is single mindedly determined to make war on the KOHONA SHINOBI clan. We will watch and see what happens. But if the Ametsuki clan try and attack us here in the Guild of SSeeker mages they're going to get a nasty surprise! We might just have to teach the Ametsulki clan what we taught AMekage NARUNIK that if you make a mage angry there will be some severe consequences. But for now since this feud seems to be heating up between The KOHONA and the Ametsuki we will watch and study what happens. Still I cannot help but think the AMetsuki are foolish for escalating things. With bthat samurai and her masters still out there I worry for the future of Kumoricon.

12/29/09: I must be more careful in the things I say. For all my brillance sometimes I can be such a dunce with people's feelings. Well a lesson learned and now it's time to move on.

Things have gotten rather nasty among the Konoha Shinobi. A nine tailed fox Demon is wrecking all types of havoc. Amekage NARUNIK is being given all he can handle. Demons can be such a pain in the rear. I should know I've dealt with my fair she. Note of interest: The Amekage has opened his school to alchemists and soldiers it seems. Interesting I never though of recruiting alchgemists. Well I'll give that one to him. Well I'm back and hopefully my one student superjaz hasn't deserted me, and hopefully i can get some more apprentices and some company in general.

(Playing my charcter) A bit of a story there. My mother attempted a weather spell on the world of Earth. She ended up knocking out the tramsmission tower for a radio station there. Since then my family has avoided casting weather spells.

Hmm, but you've just given me an idea. There's a new type of spellcaster I'm welcoming into my guild, Druids.Druids they have magic that coincides with nature. And I'm always looking for a few good Druids for ther Guild. Please let me know people of the World of Kumoricon if you're interested.

Assignments: Okay I've got some actual missions for anyone interested in joining the guild.

Scouts: Recently I've heard word from a number of villages of dark elf sightings. If it's true this situation must be handled right away. What I need is for some scouts to search the region get me some proof of dark elf activity (Find me a picture of dark elves. Then put it here on this thread.) The reward for any one seeking to take up the task will be 1000 experience points allowing for a promotion to Level 2 scouts.

Caretaker Mages: the dread dustbunny packs are piling up again see if you can handle them. I'm placing superjaz in charge of the project since she the head of the Caretaker mages. For dealing with the dust bunnies you shall recieve 1500, plus jaz since this will be your first test as head of the Caretaker mages. (Find pictures off a room before and after being cleaned.)

Researcher Mages: I have a project for you. I need you to do research into the spell 'Super agonizer' which paralyzes a person with a vision of something extremely painful. To complete this spell i shall need a moving picture (A Youtube video) of a painful hit from a sport or a painful scene from a pro-wrestling match. Your reward will be 1000 experience points and a promotion to Level 2.

 Druids: The gardens on the castle grounds have become overrrun with weeds. Since Druids have the ability to communicate with the plants and animals of nature I need tyyou to deal with the problem of cleaning things up (Get a picture of a well tended garden). Your reward will be 1000 experience and a promotion to Level 2.

Knights and Guards: Every good soldier knows that keepinbg your armor and weapons polished is the key to victory. So all I need for you to do is clean and polish your armor so you may be presentable during inspectiuon. (Get me some pictures of some well p[olished medeval armor and weapons and put them on this thread). As with the others your reward ill be 1000 experience points and a promotion to level 2.

Historical Mages: As always I need you to go out among the various groups (threads) of the land of Kumoricon and find out what they're currently doing. Bring this information to me, your rward will be the same as the previous ads.

Military Mages: I need you to do some practicing of your skills. (Get me some Youtube videos of some literally explosive scenes.) Your reward will be the same as the rest.


Also it should be known that I'm opening up my abode to everyone who wants to learn from all the various factions (All the threads) throughout Kumoricon. Come to the Guild of Seeker Mages!
