The "Everybody Loves Meg Uhde (2007 Con-Chair)" Thread!

As some of you may know Meg has decided not to run this year for Con-Chair (see = http://www.kumoricon.org/forums/index.php?topic=5522.0).

I wanted to make this thread so that we could all give her thanks for all of her hard work that she has done in the past, and show her that we are gratefull to her!

I just want to thank you Meg for spending sooooooooooo much of your time with this convention. You have made it great and fun, and I will be sad that I don't get the honor and privilege of working under you as Staff this year.

Thank you for making my first convention ever so enjoyable.  I gave Kumoricon a chance, and will be back next year, and hopefully many years to come.

I recall the number of hours you estimated/recorded you worked from another post, which seems shockingly huge.  I can easily understand a need to rest and recover from what must be a very stressful and demanding position.  You did a great job however, and I hope some other year you might be able to run for it again.

The latest intel shows that Meg will be spending the Holidays with family and friends and in early 2008 will going on a 6 month Navy Seal training course that will teach her the stealth, modern weaponry, advanced tactics, and brutal martial arts. If she survives the crash course then she'll be spending two months in the field with the Green Berets taking out insurgents and terrorist cells in a different part of the world each week.

After her military tour is finished she shall take the month of August off to meditate with the Tibetan refugees in the Bhurzai Kah temple, hidden deep in the Nepalese Himalayas. Using the brute strength she gains she will hone her spirit to the hardness and purity of a diamond before descending on the convention next labor day like a hurricane gale!

Woe be to any that defy her and shirk their duties, for they shall meet the merciless wrath of Uhde Meijin!

Meg you shall be missed as the official Con Chair, but everyone needs a break sometime!! I hope you will consider running again for future cons and I am sure that you will still be around to keep the others in order and for some fun outings like "Date night in the park"!

 Meg! You saved my ass at K-con when few others would help at all, and braught back my faith in con staff.

Meg has my undying graditude for one reason, she didn't shut down the first Random Panel (and visited several times). For that, she will forever be my favorite Con Chair. She's also one of the few people you can be sure will answer questions when asked, which is amazing upon itself.
