Question about Wheels in a cosplay
« on: February 20, 2008, 03:07:11 am »
I am debating which cosplay to do at K-con and I've been considering something from air gear, but most of it's coolness would be based on whether or not I could have actual wheels in my cosplay or not, I'm not sure what most hotel's take on this would be, I'm thinking that it's probably a big NO WHEELS but it never hurts to ask :)

Maybe mess with some of those shoes with removable wheels or something Bleh.

I'm also fully aware that if by some freak loophole wheels in cosplays WERE allowed, I would be responsible and not run anybody over XD.
Someday...I'll get around to you.

I'm not on staff, so I can't give you an official answer, but I know that last year there were Air Gearers with wheels, but I don't know if the staff knew or not. >> They've asked me this year not to wear wheels in the hotel for one of my cosplays, but again, I don't know their official answer. : P

I think what I heard the Air Gear'ers did was they stopped the wheels from rolling somehow. You could probably contact one of them and see what happened...or could not listen to me and just wait for staff which would be the better idea.

Alright well hopefully someone official will look at this. I'm likin the idea of the removable wheels, those might look more like ATs anyway.

<_<
I know that the parking garage staff do not allow anyone on wheels in there.
The guard specifically told us that when we mentioned costumes.

Last we talked to the hotel, alot of out questions about cosplay were answered with 'We are going to have to think about that.'

I hope to talk to them again soon to find out about that, and also leashes, metal props, etc.

What I would suggest is jamming the wheels. I was cosplaying Agito last year and just left my roller blades at home but if the wheels can't move, then I don't see a problem in it. -Glad to see there's gonna be other Air Gear cosplayers. Who ya gonna be?
