Alright, so I've come to a point where I'm pretty much out of ideas for cosplays; and since I haven't been to this thread before I thought I'd give it a shot, since it's always fun to hear what others have to say about this kind of thing.~

So here's a picture (taken about five minutes ago):

Weight: I dunno, but I'm really skinny.
Eyes: Anywhere between dark blue and grey, it varies.

Some anime/manga I like: Fullmetal Alchemist, Wild Adapter, Kuroshitsuji, Nabari no Ou, Shinshi Doumei Cross, Digimon, Pokemon, Death Note, Naruto, Peach Girl, School Rumble...etc.

Some games that I like: Grandia II, Final Fantasy X, Dark Cloud II, and the .hack//G.U series.

Alright, for some details I'm just going to say I'm pretty open to most types of things I need to do. I've ONLY crossplayed at this point and am actually hoping to do a female costume sooner than later so either one is fine. Wigs are cool too, since without them I find most cosplays...kinda half-assed unless you're really good (coughNikkiasLarxenecough). My sewing skills are ZERO but I have a pretty decent budget right now. A small detail, I prefer characters with the same eye color as me. It just is such a pain to have to get contacts, BUT I'm willing to get them if need be.

So, any ideas for me guys?~

What I'm Like(will be written by a friend): Okay, here's Sees. I'm a little nervous writing this, mostly because our lovely Keru-chan is going to read this over once I'm done. She is an extremely determined person once she sets her mind to it, (like starting the Anime Club) and is a perfectionist. She is a bit humble about her own cosplays(never listens to me when I say they're awesome), but if her character is an outgoing, happy person, she is totally willing to get into character. A somewhat devious, sinister but absolutely hilarious character would be good for her (think Galgarion from RPG World), but I have no idea who that would be... She likes characters that are troublemakers, confident, or cute and shy. She's gonna do Jr from Xenosaga (I'm MOMO!) and Pebbles (I'm Bam Bam). Any suggestions for her? She will do that cosplay perfect if she wants to do it. >D

For anime/mangas, I prefer more mainstream mangas like Bleach or D. Gray-man.  I prefer to cosplay from a shonen manga, and to cosplay as someone that people don't normally cosplay as.  I might cosplay as someone from Kroshitsuji, Fullmetal Alchemist, 1/2 Prince or Ouran.  I'm willing to crossplay(although I would actually prefer to crossplay).  I would prefer not to wear a wig, but I am willing to if the character's really awesome.  My sowing skills are zero, but I do have a couple people that could help/teach me in their spare time.  However, my budget is pretty good.

So I've got some sweet KoF stuff coming up soon and I was suppose to be Blue Mary. Unfortuently, looking in the mirror I have come to the conclusion that I would be the most terrible Blue Mary ever (wide rib cage, short torso, not very flattering). Now I am at a loss since I have scrounged up a crap ton of people for it so not many characters are left to choose from.

My Cosplay Request

I have a major fear of posting my pictures up thinking that I might be given a cosplay that's more to fit my structure and not my interest. You see, I am a tad bit overweight and I hope to lose the weight in order to fit into specific characters next Kumoricon, but I'm also looking for other recommendations but I don't want to be getting someone like Choji from Naruto or Tapps from D.Grey-Man. As much as it seems like a good recommendation, I find it quite offensive. It has happened to me before in the past.
I'm not going to be going as characters that may have somewhat skimpy wear cause that's just not me, but I would like character that (with effort) I can try to replicate onto myself.

Am I wrong for thinking like this?

I have never seen anyone be judged in a way like that. I too am on the overweight side, and hope to lose enough to be Nico Robin this coming year.
I have, however, seen people have characters suggested because of their breast size, which I've gotta say is kind of important to some characters.
We are probably some of the least judgemental people out there, so if you really wanna know, go ahead and post.

My style:
I normally don't buy pre-made costumes online. My budget is roughly small and so I'm usually limited to buying different clothes and wigs from retail stores, and piecing them together, then sewing what's left. I actually prefer this way because its cheaper than spending $30-100+ on professionally made, and when I wear something I put together with my own two hands, I can say "This is MY cosplay," and feel like I gave the outfit a soul. I make my cosplays to be worn, as if you were living the character yourself, rather than just have a sparkly shell and a normal (but probably completely different) personality. This also means that my self-built cosplays are good for contest entry. Though if it's the only way to pull off the cosplay, I am willing to try ordering online.

I prefer wigs over hair dying, I'm wanting to learn how to sew. Any sewing that was done was thanks to parental effort (they did it, I showed them what I wanted), and though as Red the Ninja at MEWcon for the Bang Bang Neko Hour I had to crossplay as part of the game, I favor girls crossplaying as male characters than vice versa.

I need some help. I have a budget and I need something relatively simple to be for Halloween, most of the people that post here have met me or know what I look like (Avatar, but I don't need my glasses all the time).

It doesn't have to be cosplay, it can be anything, but I'm like out of ideas, any help is appreciated.

I love wigs, I actually kinda perfer to wear them.
I'd really like to try out some contacts this year.
I'm not too into video game cosplays. I perfer anime and manga.
So far all I've done is crossplay, but I'm fine with cosplaying girls too; nothing revealing though, I don't like that. It makes me uncomfortable ...the last time I posted here, someone suggested Rikku from final fantasy, first of all it's a video game cosplay, and her outfit is WAAAAY too skimpy for me... ^^;;;

I think I'm going to be cosplaying Prince Clovis (Code Geass) at Sakura-con, and third uniform Allen Walker (D.Gray-Man) at some point this year (not sure when though), but I need other suggestions ^^;;

I think you do look like a rikku, but if her outfit is too skimpy, you could do another one of her outfits. Just an idea.
I also think you could make a great Shinku from Rozen Maiden. But I do understand that those cosplays are super hard to make ^^;; You could also make a good Maka from Soul Eater, sorry if you've heard that a thousand times

My cosplay budget is somewhat frugal, but I am willing to splurge if the opprotunity presents itself. I will wear wigs, but since my hair is so long, and I've never worn them before, I could use help on how to put them on!

You could do a Fast Velma, from Scooby Doo, with things from the good will. But that's relying on you finding an orange sweater. Maybe you could do some sort of sorceress thing, with frills and things of that idea...

What I'm Like(will be written by a friend): Okay, here's Sees. I'm a little nervous writing this, mostly because our lovely Keru-chan is going to read this over once I'm done. She is an extremely determined person once she sets her mind to it, (like starting the Anime Club) and is a perfectionist. She is a bit humble about her own cosplays(never listens to me when I say they're awesome), but if her character is an outgoing, happy person, she is totally willing to get into character. A somewhat devious, sinister but absolutely hilarious character would be good for her (think Galgarion from RPG World), but I have no idea who that would be... She likes characters that are troublemakers, confident, or cute and shy. She's gonna do Jr from Xenosaga (I'm MOMO!) and Pebbles (I'm Bam Bam). Any suggestions for her? She will do that cosplay perfect if she wants to do it. >D
