Anyone going as Super Mario Bros characters this year? I didn't see a thread for it, so I figured I'd just start my own. :O I know for a fact that I will be going as Princess Peach, and my fiancee will be a kilted Bowser.
You heard me.
He's going to cosplay as Bowser. In a kilt.
Admit it. You know it's hot. XD
Mind you, he'll be going as anthro Bowser, BUT STILL.
Anyone else cosplaying as Mario Bros/Brawl characters for 2010? I can start writing down a list.

Coming as Mario with my own Peach plus a box full of super goodies. At night I may come as Monster Mario, a custom Mario with a black shirt and Monster energy hat.

I don't understand, is this supposed to be a joint thread for SMB and SSBB, or is it just for all versions of Mario characters?
If it's basically a thread for all Smash Bros. AND Mario characters, then I'll once again be cosplaying as Link from Twilight Princess / Brawl.
Bowser in a kilt sounds awesome. If he's going to be anthro, what's he going to wear above the waist?

I've seen a poison mushroom T-shirt, but it said "GAME OVER" instead of "1-up."

Yeah, he said he wanted it with 1-up instead of Game Over. XD And it's not going to be a Poison Mushroom, it's going to be a skull mushroom with green, not purple :3

I'm sure it is. :) One day there will be game about how Mario got his mustach, and we'll find out that it's actually a symbiotic life form named Fuzzle, or something.

Mario secretly gets his power from the fuzzle as well. It's like Samson's hair and the Trill from Star trek all in one.
Can I also say that I'm deeply excited about Kilt bowser? You'd better watch out for your fiancee. <.< >.>
My group (not me) will have a steam-punk/modern-ish Peach and Daisy.
The next Con I go to My bestie and I are doing She-mario and She-Luigi.
I'm really excited :D

I definitely want to see Kilt Bowser too. It's about time that Koopa had some modesty, and a kilt is the way to go.

I've seen Mario Sisters before, but steampunk Peach and Daisy sound awesome. I'm trying to cobble together an image in my head. It's easy to imagine Victorian Peach and Daisy dresses, but beyond that, I have no idea what they might do.

Yeah, it's not quite steam-punk, it's not quite modern.
It's a really interesting design that they put together. I'm intrigued to see how it all comes out myself, and I'm one of the people making the thing.

Hey guys, just wanted to pop in with some info.
I'm working on getting a Legend of Zelda photo shoot scheduled. Since there is plenty of overlap, I wanted to ask whether you guys in the Smash Bros./General Nintendo crowd would like to cooperate with us.
"Cooperate" basically means either combine our photo shoots, or schedule them back to back. If we schedule them back to back, I suggest putting Zelda ahead of Smash Bros./General Nintendo so more cosplayers will arrive right as Zelda wraps up. That should keep the party going strong.
Whaddaya say? Since the discussion in this thread seems to have tapered off, would you like me to set this up for you? Please check my post in the following topic if you want to see which meet-up times I'm suggesting:

Hey guys, since ouruknak was the only response, I decided to spearhead this and schedule a Smash Bros./General Nintendo photo shoot right after the Zelda photo shoot. That would make it 1pm on Sunday. Arrive at 12pm if you want to attend the Zelda shoot.
All Nintendo and Smash Bros. characters are welcome. Since Smash Bros. is a tossed salad to begin with, any Nintendo character will fit in with the crowd, as well as the Brawl guest characters (stage and assist trophy cameos included!).
The location is Pioneer Square. I looked it up on Google Maps and it's really close to the hotel. Supposed to be a 2 minute walk (looks more like 4 minutes to me, but still). If it's raining when you step outside, ask at the Info Booth to see if we've moved to an alternate location.
Sound good? I look forward to seeing girl Mario and Bowser in a kilt. (Who wouldn't?)

I'm sorry I've been afk XD LIFE HITS HARD. And work. And moving. Bleh! I had to cancel our hotel room because we didn't have enough money for it, but we'll be riding the max, so yeah.
His Bowser is more of a keltic Bowser, really XD He found a really awesome keltic symbol that looks like a bowser head that he'll be using instead of a poison mushroom, we're just... trying to get the silkscreen printer to work. If it doesn't, well, he'll just go with a kilt and vest and wild aft hair. XD
Anyone want a teaser pic, of either me or him? x3
I fully expect him to get glomped. I WILL BE DISAPPOINTED IF HE DOESN'T. XD

Hey guys, this is a repost of something I mentioned in the Zelda thread. You can respond here if you have any thoughts.
Okay everybody, got a slight problem to deal with:
It looks like there's an event scheduled for con weekend and Pioneer Square is being rented out. This means it is probably going to be swamped. We are being strongly recommended to change the location. Problem is, I'm not familiar enough with the surrounding area, so I don't know which would be the best alternative. Any opinions? This will apply to the Zelda photo shoot as well.

I hope to see you at our photo shoot. :) If nobody else does, I'd be happy to provide Celtic Bower with a glomp, though I vaguely suspect he'd prefer a cute girl. Not that you can tell the difference from the inside of a mascot costume...
(Note: I spelled it with a "C," but yeah, I know that Celtic is supposed to be pronounced "Keltic.")
