um...we were gonna do the cosplay for youko kurama, but we're having trouble with the tail...i think we can do the ears...what should the tail be made pf?
-
well... his tail looks like his hair, are you using a wig for the hair?
well, i'd say make his tail look at much like his hair as possible.
-
yeah...but i'm gonna dye my hair....... we just need to know how to make a tail >_< never done that before........is anyone else making tails?
-
Hmm... this is just an idea but you could...
Get wires and make a skeleton out of it. Then get those fabrics that has the fur stuff on it, ((geeeh I dunno the name of 'em)). It's those kind of fur that is already on leather pieces and stuff. And just cover the skeleton with it. But that's only if you want to have your tail sticking up or something like that.
Or you could just get those fur pieces and roll it up so it can hang and swish around. xD
Yeah... this is just a thought though. {shrugs}

it's called faux fur (or fake fur). that would be okay, but the thing is youko's tail is depicted as long hairs, not your usual furry-ness... but then that's just my opinion. but the skeleton idea would definatly be good. :P

sorry, cant find a picy to show more of his tail T_T

I guess your best bet would be to look around at local fabric stores for fabric with long hair. I've found some pretty long hair on some fabric at Jo-ans... if you have that store of course.
-
its some twenty-somptin' miles away but its there ^_^ i got the tail problem solved now, but thanks ^.~ *hugs everyone*
-
Have fun!
-
definately ^.~ *starts dancing in youko's cosplay outfit* ITS FINISHED!!! THANKY KEYTA-KUN *glomps keyta-kun*

Kurama's Best!!!
anyway, I think you might be able to just use whatever fabric you're going to use for the ears to make the tail.
-
oops, I guess I should read the whole thing before I post. anyway, congrets! I'd love to see more Kurama lovers out there, please let me glomp you!
-
one cool thing to do if you want to get some movement is to just make the tail out of whatever cloth you might put over wire and attatch a piece of clear thread (you can get it at fabric stores, like fishing line but thiner) or regualr thread and tie it arround your finger of choice. if you make the thread the right length then you get a cool effect. its pritty neat
-
lol. thanks anyways. i dont remember how keyta-kun did it, but the tail and ears are complete ^_^ i WAS gonna have a kurama partner, but she's not gonna cosplay anymore  it'll just be me, youko

I really wanted to do Kurama (Shuuichi), but my costume didn't really fit, and I sold it. I really should kept it, I mean my mom will fix it if I still have it. Damn!!
Excuse my language.
-
no matter with language *sticks a bar of soap in your mouth* just kidding ^.~ what do you mean, it didn't fit? sold it? so now, someone else has a kurama cosplay outfit.....you mean his school uniform or his fighting outfit? my friend was gonna go in his fighting outfit.
