Where is Milwaukee from Beaverton, is it further or sorter away then downtown Portland?

I can get to the beverton transit center that's no problem but from there I have no idea where to go from there.

As for getting there from BTC, go south down Lombard to Highway 10/Farmington/Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway, then it's maybe half a mile East on the south side of Hwy 10. It's a bit of a walk but if you've got a transfer from the max you can just take the 54 bus there. It runs right down highway 10. Just let the bus driver know you're trying to get to Uwajimaya and they should let you know which stop to get off at. Alternatively you can just take the 54 from downtown for similar results. I'd recommend checking google maps and/or trimet.org for more complete directions.

Jacob- I live in milwaukie too, if you have a bike I would be willing to ride with you there :) Rode there last year or the one before that. It might seem kind of far but you could always take the bus part way. Or all the way, if you go to tri-met's site and plan the trip.
Just think of the exercise you will get!~ Let me know if you 'might' want to.

Okay sakura fest, it varys year to year how big it is, so this is a description of past years and not me sayin this will be there this year.
Some years big some small, have to ask uwaji's if they know how many booths, but even then its hard to get a strait answer some times.
Uwajimaya closes off their parking lot and booths are are put up. Some sell stuff like hawaiian clothin, sauces , banks and buisnesses will have tables pictching their company and giving out candy and pens. I call it adult trick or treating. Food stands like taiyaki, shaved ice, noodles and other foods for sale. Some times they have little ticket games for kids. Then there is a stage set up for preformances like taiko drumming, dances, kendo ect.
Inside the store there might be a cooking demo or sales, it gets really busy there.
So you go, wear a cosplay or otaku-ish clothing, look around the booths buy something yummy to nibble on, watch a demo, say hi to peeps.

Ah, well that might be a problem :) You could always change when you get there, something I usually do when i bike that far because it is a bit of a work out. I doubt you would want to change or carry an outfit (especially an elaborate one) with you in a back pack or pannier (bags you see on ether side of the wheels of some bikes) all the way there. The option is still always open.

Roddy - You can find bikes at goodwill and craigslist real cheap. You will want to tune them up or adjust them a bit before you go for a ride. Most that are not obviously in need of repair will be rideable immediately and only need the seat adjusted, which you can easily do yourself.

A bike that will work for me will not be cheap. I can't afford right now. Maybe when I get a job other then the dad work on and off. But for now my fun money goes to saving for Cons and Hotels at cons and stuff for son. (manly his Naturo cosplay. He really wants it, but he is picky... oh, he did not get it from me... maybe he did. ><;; but he is picky and the jacket needs to be a jacket. not the one layer sometimes two layer thin floppy fabric. His is going to cost a good amount if I can ever even find someone who can make it the way he wants it.) ^^; But someday I will get a bike, but not to ride everywhere I go. Not that skilled and I love my car and driving too much. and have VERY little stamina and live up in the hills of Beaverton. A drive to this event is like... maybe 15 minutes. something like that. A bike to it for me would be like an hour or maybe two. I am slow and again have no stamina.

Ok, i've finally decided who exactly i'm going to cosplay as. It's a secret, but be warned, i'm going to be (mostly) in character the whole time. Because i like being in character with this character :I So anyway, yeah, try not to get too annoyed with my crazy antics.
