Hey guys, if you aren't busy on Friday, April 8th then you should all come check out the 10th Annual Japan Night at Tigard High School!
This is a small event put on by the Japanese National Honor Society at Tigard. Admission is free, and includes activities such as ikebana, calligraphy, origami, and there are presentations such as music performances, taiko, traditional Japanese storytelling, and a Japanese fashion show run by yours truly!
Food and drink will be sold, and in the gym there will be anime showings and kendo demonstations.
The main event of the night is a raffle with prizes donated from businesses such as Starbucks, and all proceeds of the raffle will be donated to the victims of the Japan earthquake. Raffle tickets are only $2, so why not help out?
Japan Night starts at 5:30pm and ends at 8:30pm and takes place in the Tigard High School commons, which is the main area right when you walk into the school.
I'm assuming cosplay is discouraged since this isn't really a convention or anything.
The JNHS members and I would really appreciate it if you all stopped by!

If I'm able to get the money for bus fare, I'll probably be there. (I don't think I have anything that'd prevent me from coming...)

I should get smacked for this, but I forgot about this! I've got to be there, not only as a rep for Kumoricon, but also as the advisor for the anime club that's hosting it. Sorry, but I won't be going, either...

Right now I'm picking out music for the fashion show. And speaking of the show, it's going to be AMAZING! You'll all be sad you missed it.

I was there and I missed the show. ;-; Son was watching FLCL in the anime room at the time. He won some raffle prizes. I got $20 dollars worth of tickets for him. 5 $1 and 5 $3. He just won some gift certificates to a restaurant. But is they have eggdrop soup there he'll be happy. ^^ I wish I could have bought more, since it was going to help the relief. It was a cute little school Japanese night. my son had a lot of fun. I did not know which one was you. But I did get to meet kit2kit. ^^ She was nice.

I'm glad you bought stuff! This year's Japan Night was really great, we raised somewhere around $2000 for Japan.
