Title: PDX Polish Festival This Weekend (Sep 24-25)
Post by: Prinz Eugen on September 21, 2011, 07:08:12 am
Great place to pick up Baltic AMBER jewelry.
(Actually the best event of the year for that.)
And of course beer, and Polish foods like pierogies and other tasty things whose names I tend to only know in Russian or Lithuanian but they are STILL delicious.

And polkas and other folk dancing.

And beer.

Super busy weekend for me, being my birthday and OryCon Programming retreat, but I would love to attend someday. I'm 1/2-Polish (albeit Polish Jewish). Potato/onion/cheese pierogies for the win :D

Actually hit Polish -AND- Japanese festivals in the same day!!

At the Poles, there was an unintended chuckle moment: they were doing a dance for the kiddies, and one of the melodies they played was Loituma Ievas Polka - whic some of you may remember from a few years back as THE LEEKSPIN SONG!!!!

WIN!
