Hey there anime fans!
A month out from Kumoricon and the same thing has dawned on me that does every year around now. I have just realized that I have once again missed almost a whole year of Anime! I caught Sword art this time around, but now I must ask, what are the biggest things that I've missed? I like light hearted shows usually, slice of life is cool too... but I would love to get some recommendations. If there is an anime that you absolutely loved this year post it here and I'll do my best to see it before con.

Without question, the biggest anime of the year is Attack on Titan. It is pretty serious action/epic, but if you want to get caught up, that is a must-see.
There are a lot of anime I am currently watching, but they are all relatively new. I can't speak for the whole year, but at least for the season, I'd suggest watching Servant x Service and WataMote, just for a couple. Those are both really funny slice-of-life stories. Probably not gonna be big or cosplayed at Kumoricon, but they're worth watching for sure.

If you're into vampire stuff, Shiki is pretty good.

I greatly enjoy The world god only knows, which is in its 3rd season ongoing currently. Attack on Titan is intense, but extremely awesome. Many of the spring 2013 shows were great as well. I recommend My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU and Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat.
