I thought this would help clear up some confusion and hopefully we can come to a nice agreement... I hope so.
If you would be so kind to post why you chose that day that would be cool and would help this thread going for all the FMA cosplayers to see. Feel free to put whom your cosplaying too if you want.
My Reason:
I'm fine with either day one or two. I have little faith in my day three transportation, so I'd rather not.

Since the method I'm using for my Ouroboros tattoo will no doubt carry through the weekend, I don't want to ruin my other cosplay. I'm really looking forward to group photos so, here's hoping :3

I'm hoping for day one since day two is the day the Bleach photoshoot is aiming for. If the time of the FMA shoot doesn't interfere with Bleach on day 2 then I am fine to change back into my FMA costume. Day 3 for me is not good.
Summary:
Day one: Yes, my vote
Day two: Okay if it doesn't conflict with Bleach photoshoot
Day three: No
I will be going as Mei Chan from the manga.

Well, it's nice to know that so far day two is do-able... I'm thinking about a week before the con, we come up with an official time and date. People make sure you're ready. ^_^

11 AM would be nice. I want to have breakfast, then I'll get ready. The earlier we take photos the fresher we all look and then we can all run around and get funky.

I would prefer earlier if we go with the second day. 11 at the latest. With my experience with group photoshoots they take a long time to get organized (gathering people, finding a place to take pictures, getting people into groups for pictures..etc...) and this is especially the case with a larger group.
Both my costumes take some time to get in/out of so if the time is too close to the Bleach shoot I'm going to have to skip out on the FMA photoshoot. :(
On a separate note: Has anyone been to the Red Lion to scope out good places for group pictures?

I've only seen some of the inside. I don't know what's around it. It would be great if someone would find a nice spot. ^_^

Well I'm wearing my Greed on Monday so I suppose I could change into Greed depending on the time it's made.

If my memory serves me right, there is an awesome park right next to the Red Lion (the Red Lion is the old Double Tree right?) and that park was a hot place last year for cosplayers.

That's a different Red Lion. The one this year is by Jantzen beach.

so does anyone know of any good places where we should take pictures? I'm coming from seattle, so I haven't the slightest.

From the last meeting that was up there..I haven't seen a whole lot of good places for pictures (though I didn't look for any either), except outside along the river bank or on that dock they have.
At the meeting on the 27th I'll scout out places if a place hasn't been picked by then.

Well, so far it's lookin' like day two! Thank goodness... I had major fears of it being day three.

I made a thread about photo gatherings! You can go and work this out there! Theres also no problem with having a FMA gathering on both days! 2 gatherings is fine!

Sunday at 11:00am is the Piano Squall concert (seating starts at 10:30) so I'm out for that one.
Sunday at 9:30am or 10:00am works for me. Or 12:30pm, 1:00pm, 1:30pm. (2 is the cosplay rehearsal and I assume some of you will be doing skits).
I'm really only trying to schedule around the big events..so it looks like if we do it Sunday, it'd have to be at one of those times listed above, or during the cosplay rehearsal.

YESS!!! I refuse to miss that man's concert. So, unless it's later or eariler, I'll bail out to go to the concert.

I know over in the Bleach thread for a while the time discussion has been 1pm on Sunday so I will have to skip out if FMA and Bleach are at the same time or too close together. Both my costumes take too long to get into if they are only a short time apart.
Plus, no one likes/knows the manga only characters anyway so it's not like I'll be missed. :cry:

Okay what about saturday, it turns out I won't have my other costume done, so either day is fine with me now, but it seems people are now bailing. I wanna take pictures with you all ARGH!! XB

I would totally love Saturday afternoon but I don't want to be selfish and try to get everyone to mold their schedules just so I can get pictures. I will be in my Mei Chan costume Saturday afternoon so I'm all for pictures then.

So either early Sunday or..by looking at the schedule, late (5-ish) Saturday.
We can't do noon on Saturday because of the Ninja of the Night (and I can only assume they'll all be in their Naruto gear for that :P) panel. I know they have at least 2 FMA cosplayers in their group, I forget if they have any others than Ed and Roze.
How is 5:00 to 5:30 on Saturday? It doesn't interfere with anything except the AMV show (which I assume is just a bunch of random AMV's showing), open mic karaoke, the fanfic crossover contest (couldn't tell you what that is), Hello Kitty with Tiffany Grant (so a Tiffany Grant panel) and the MPS (Mechanized Propulsion Systems, they are building the worlds first anime style mech. As in a real one, it's really cool, I went to one at '05 and one at Sakura-con this year, pretty interesting stuff) panel.
Or we could do 2:00 on Saturday, it doesn't seem to interfere with a whole lot.
OR how about we do one of those two ^^^^ AND one at 10:00am Sunday?
Those three times seem like they interfere with the least amount of stuff.
I don't really mind changing out of my Chloe costume to for Greed, but out of those three times I'd personally prefer the 10:00am one so I can just wake up, wear Greed, then change into Chloe if I feel like it.

I'm going to post 2:00PM Saturday and 10:00AM Sunday (yeah, if you want to go to that one you have to get up early!) in the thread Blitz made. If either of those times don't work for anyone, post in that thread.

You've got:
The general waterfront
The dock
The tennis court
And that's about it, unless you were to just do random photoshoots in other places outside.

I like the dock as well.
2pm on Saturday *humms* I'll have to change into Izumi. I was going to be Izumi all day Sunday. I still will dress up it's just... I don't like changing in the middle of the day. If Saturday is what works well for everyone then I change.

I'm for either the dock area or that grassy area near the courts so the river is in the background.

No problem with the scouting! I wore my Greed to the meeting today so I'm sure people were weirded out with me walking around the hotel taking pictures of random stuff <.<
I think us yojimbo are going to have a fun time with people trying to take pictures in the halls though <.<

After going to the meeting and seeing things for myself (and discussing this with Trumby while there, heh) I definately agree that the best place for a group photo'd be the dock area. There really aren't too many other good locations for photo opportunities.
