My dad's pissed off enough at me as it is because he had to spend money for a hotel room at the k-con...he's like "WITH ALL THE MONEY I SPENT ON YOU YOUR BIRTHDAY PRESENT WILL BE ONLY 5 BUCKS"

Hatake, I hope something is worked out so you can go. Sakura-con is like, 6 months away, so there is time to figure something out.

Yeah, I might just go for one day, if I somehow am able to. But it's not for a while, so I don't really have to worry about it frantically. xD

But like I said before, I'd like to go there at least once just to see what it's like.

Find more pictures. I save d a few you posted last month. I want to make props out of aluminum I have a friend with a full sword shop, they would be cool and last forever but be spendy and the kiddies can’t take them into most con events. I took the foam props panel at K Con and realized that between making theatrical stage sets out of foam, foam armatures for metal sculptures and 1/72 scale foam castles I knew all that and some better ways to cut out large shapes accurately, so I could use foam and wood. I have also made a few leather axe heads out of Cow butt so I could use that to make a key blade. I really missed out this year putting off doing stuff for the con until the last month and then I was to behind with my mundane work and also not feeling well and could not get any thing fun finished.

I can't afford another convention at this point. I'm getting to the age that Real Life wants me to start paying it for stuff, and I don't mean Greg Dean's comic.

Maybe if I get a new job or I get some very good Christmas presents.
But no, not right now.

Post by: superjaz on September 11, 2006, 02:51:38 pm: i second the stuff toms sez, money aside, its also, "go to sakura half assed unprepared, or take that effort funds time, and put them into making kumoricon even more fun the last year!" that what i did this last year when i couldnt go to sakura stated going to con meetings n stuff makes kumoricon more rewarding think you had even a little bit of a hand (half a pinky compared to the staff)
