Hey, so you're actually an Oregonian!  That's fantastic.  I was wondering why some girl from the great plains would be lurking around here...

Yay for everyone! :D

I think that alot of the young (in my generation 1990/1991) take advantage of all the rights we have in America.

w00t. Go america. :D

Actually, Neko, only about 30% of the 18-25 aged American vote, unfortunately.

In my family it's 100% though, or else we get kicked out on our rears, and get taunted by cousins.  It's very embarrassing, or so I've been told.

Ack. xD Maybe that didn't come out worded right. I ment that they take  advantage of having those rights? And most of them don't vote. D: and they don't realize how free we as a people are in this country.

I remember those, if only because, in the district I was living in back in '96 they had set up a program for fake election for children 15 and under with fake candidates.  I voted Sakigawia (sp?) for president. ^.^

Oh, I'm old enough, but given the fact that I was a sophomore at Reed, I didn't exactly have lots of time to be watching the TV.

So that would make Charbonneau the first lady

When i was in Jr HS they brought in real voting machines and had other events to school us in the election process as we had the student body elections.  I wrote in Darth Vader for Secretary of Fear

Perhaps he'd be a suitable replacement for Rumsfeld.

EDIT: Enough gloating, please. We're not all necessarily Democrats here and we don't need any flame wars to break out. Thanks. - Guspasho
