I just took a look at the extended forecast, and it's looking like it'll be perfect weather!! They're saying 73 degrees and partly cloudy! For me personally this is a huge relief! =D
-
Sweet!
It would suck for it to rain and damage people's cosplay when they're walking to lunch or something...
-
I hope It will be nice and cool for the con or it will suck for me.
-
^ Same here.
Keep in mind I don't know how accurate this is, we'll have to wait a bit for better accuracy. ^^;
-
Oh thank Jenova, now I can go outside and not die in my pleather coat.
-
yeah I wish it could be sunny but not warm. just sort of neutral. if it freaking rains I really don't want to carry an umbrella around. I know it probably won't rain but it's oregon so what can you expect. lol
-
I don't care about rain, I'm more worried about the heat. 70ish is pretty doable, but if it warped down to 60ish for the con I'd be happy :D
-
Last year it was pretty warm. There's a park again this year, so the trees might be the relief. But if it rained that wouldn't be too cool, either.
-
this is great espc for my brother going as chiyo chans father
-
^nicceee xD
and actualy at least thats not gettin colder o.o; im wearin kairi which is pretty cold
-
Yeah, I keep checking and re-checking the weather. Hoepfully, we will have another nice weekend for Kcon.
-
Just watched the news and they said a small storm system will be rolling in over the weekend! It should be in mid-high 70s all weekend. :D
-
Weather shouldn't be a problem for me unless it gets super cold. I was planning on wearing tank tops or something of the like on Saturday
-
The last few days had felt like the end of summer already! Not that I mind, but I do feel for the cosplayers. At least there's that nice nice park out in front of Lloyd Center to relax around.
-
For what I seen, it will be around 70-80 on the day, but at night it will go down to 50-55 that's including from Friday to Monday. It' might change knowing how weather is, but we might expect some rain at day, or night. But who knows what will happen. I guess will just have to wait. ^--^
-
I'm glad to see the general consensus showing cooler temps. My costume will be murder in anything about 80 (technically anything about 60, but I can't be picky, heh). I would love it if Sunday ended up being at least partly cloudy. That would make the photo shoots perfect, not just for me but for the settings of the specific shoots (especially Final Fantasy).
-
I wouldn't mind some rain cosplay, I'm an oregonian :) The cool weather is welcome
-
I too love rain, but I just don't want it to spoil my photo shoots as both my costumes would totally die in the rain. Not so much the clothing aspects of either one, but the props I would have. Gunarm or cannon, neither can tolerate the rain for very long I figure.
But if it has to rain, I'd love it and just deal with it....just not on Sunday, heh.

One wouldn't be a proper Oregonian if they DIDN'T like rain. ;)
-
I love rain and my whole family would be ok. Our cosplays can handle the rain.
-
Rain is better than heat IMO. But I really hope Shadow and the rest of you are right- 70's and partly cloudy sounds fantastic. ;D
-
For cosplay, I'm more of an overcast 60's person, myself.
That way things keep cool but I'm not drenched in layers of costume.
-
I agree than rain beats heat.
Overcast and cool > Rainy >>> Swelteringly hot

And that's why many Californians who move to Oregon end up moving back to Cali haha they hate cold weather
-
Californians are strange. They can't drive, and complain. Then again, so do we. If it's too hot, we complain, if it's too cold, we complain.
The west coast is just odd. Washington people.. well they don't know when to get over into the right lane when they're going too slow in the left lane. >O
-
I live in southern Oregon, where it's actually sunny and hot here most of the time. I like it, but I definitely enjoy rain the most (I lived in Vancouver, WA for most of my life before moving down XD). I don't really use umbrellas for rain, I use them for sun :D

lol, I don't like rain and I've spent my entire life in Oregon.

You only think we're going too slow because all your Oregonians drive like crazy speed demons. ^_~
Cooler weather will be nice. One of my outfits is wool, another is velvet, and both require wigs. Blargh, sweaty central!
-
Maybe we are too fast. But then again, Oregon IS one of the safest states to drive in, strangely.
I don't think I'll be too hot as far as weather this year, though. At least I hope not. So long as you don't stand directly against the sun, and stick to the shade if it does get hot, it shouldn't be too bad.
And if anything, you could just stay inside where it's cool.
-
GREAT SUCCESS.
This is about the weather I've been hoping for. :D
I'll be bringing an umbrella just in case it gets wet outside.
Mild weather is good for me!!
-
And if it's hot and your costume is making you really hot, remember to drink plenty of water!
-

Definitely! I drank so much water last year, I was really thankful for the water stations they had set up.
Now it's saying the weather will be about 69 degrees but still mostly sunny. Awesome!
-
69 is nice but I'll still be hoping for overcast weather. Even with lower temperatures, I don't do well in the sun.

agreed water is important *nods* i worked at the special olympics as a referee, about a month ago and the staff werent given enough watar and i ended up passing out cause of dehidration
and also if you dont drink enough watar one day dont push it the next!!! i was actualy driven to the hospital the day after cause i thought i was fine and dindt drink as much watar as i should have!
-
Right now, weather.com says...
Saturday: lo 53° - 69° hi, 20% chance of rain, mostly sunny.
Sunday: 53° - 69°, 10% change of rain, partly cloudy.
Monday: 53° - 71°, 10% chance of rain, partly cloudy.
It's looking good. I'm glad the temperature's staying (relatively) low!
-
Oh this weekend's gonna be nice.
-
I am so glad the weather is going to be mild! :D
-
That is wonderful news to read. Thank you for that update! ^_^
-
No sweating!!! Makes the wig itchy.... so I want temperate weather with slightly overcast skies with no rain! But if it does rain I will be prepared with my umbrella!!!
-
I'm glad it'll be colder on Sunday. I'm wearing a costume designed for a story arc that takes place in December.
-
Gosh, I don't think we could have asked for any better weather. (lol rhymed) I'm really thankful it'll be mild outside! I LIIIIVE!
-
Thank goodness. Man, what a good weekend it will be!
-
i was worried it would rain... yay! good weather ;D
