The Dark Ace (who's also my laptop) started acting up today. His fan was sounding really off, like it was working itself way too hard. The entire computer was shaking. x.x; So I took him in to Fry's, and they ended up taking him in for repairs. Since he's still under warranty, they're shipping him down to California to HP. I won't see him for 6 - 8 weeks.
It's really upsetting. DX I bought him with my own money, and he was spendy, and I love him, and he's GONE! =/ Haah, but Fry's loaned me a brand new HP, this one's way different, though. And it doesn't fit my hard drive, so all of my data I'm unable to use.
I get way more upset when one of my posessions is damaged, vs. when something happens to our pets, or a family member. I'm a horrible person, I know. ~ ~;

I'm the same way so I know how you feel <.<
Though if you can spend the money on an enclosure you can always put the old HD in that.

it's ok Marie, I would be really upset if my computer broke.....the last one I didn't care about because it was old, slow, and a POS. This one I love ^_^

aww Sayda their taken mine in soon... my baby doesnt read discs anymore and needs a battery upgrade, you unplug it now and it turns off.
they loaned you a new one? O_o

They asked if I wanted insurance on it when they shipped it down to Cali. For 120$. I looked at the guy and said "Does it LOOK like I have 120$ just.. floating around in my ass pockets? Sorry Charly." So hopefully nothing will happen to him. The most that will is that all my data will be gone. I've come to realize that if that's what happens, I'm really not too worried. I just want him back. x.x;
@chihiro - Yeah man. I bought the DA at Fry's Electronics, and bought a 3 year warranty on him, too. They told me last March when I got him that if he ever needs to go in for repairs, they'll loan me a brand new laptop while he's off getting fixed. This one isn't nearly as nice, but it's brand new, right out of the package.

I know! I thought that was nice, too. I'm not sure what I would have done with myself if I was without a laptop for two months, cause my 360's going to be shipped off to be fixed, too. That'll take about a month. I'd be without electronics. What a horrible world.

You could probably take him to Fry's. They do all kinds of things with computers. If you didn't get him there though, you'll probably have to pay. If your computer's still under warranty you should probably take it to wherever it was bought at, though.

Batteries are easy to replace, just ask them if you can try a new battery and if that doesn't work, return it.
