Does anyone think money and growth effect cosplay? Do we have more older cosplayers because they have a job and money to spend on cosplay? Is it because older people know how to sew and use a sewing machine? Is it because the cosplay you made in Jr. High only fit for one year before you outgrew it? I think we have a lot of older cosplayers, because when they were younger cosplayers they didn't have the money to make a "nice" cosplay and they really wanted to look like their favorite character. Then, in High School, they were the correct age to portray the character, and had the finances and resources to do a decent job of cosplaying him or her. After High School they still look "young enough to pull it off" and have the cash and skill to "do it right" I just wish I still could play Ash, or Conan, or Sakura, or Nanoha and the other Jr. High aged characters. Of course, by this time the female cosplayers have the hmm.. how to word this.. physic necessary to fill out their cosplay.
That is something that is definitely necessary for a few of the more well endowed and skimpy cosplay characters. OK guys, wipe off the drool already. No you can't glomp her.
Don't look at me that way! Yes it is a very believable Yoko and she is a very good Lum.
Why do I have a hard time asking if I can take a picture. (Gulp, Pant).
Then as guys get older it is; Why aren't there any older characters with beards and mustaches? Why don't any of these guys have a balding problem? Do I have the muscles to pull of this cosplay? Maybe I'll go as Alphonse so nobody will see me, anyone know how to make a light suit of plate armor? Hey they have storm troopers! If I actually ever looked like this character I wouldn't still be looking for a girlfriend.
I could be all wrong. Then again... Let me know what you think.
