Long brown hair, no bangs...any ideas?

I'm needing a cosplay idea for myself and a friend of mine (we're both girls).  By september, I'll have hair down to about 2-3 inches below my shoulder, and she'll have hair down just past the middle of her back.  We both have dark brown hair and neither of us have bangs.  I've thought about Aeris from FFVI for her, and I want to try Chun Li from street fighter and Ukyo from Ranma 1/2 (I'd either get a wig or...something, cuz I don't want to cut my hair).  It'd be easiest if it weren't a char in skin tight clothing, cuz while neither of us are particularly large, we're not super model-shaped either.  So yeah, any advice would be really really really appreciated :)  Thanks guys,

ooooh, i have a couple ideas... however, they are from a game thats in the progress of being made, so they arnt completely well known yet -_-;;  If your interested in something new and different Im the one to come to for designs ^^;

Oooo, yeah, another Exodus cosplayer or two would be awesome! Yuki's got a really cool costume that's not skin tight, there's also Ritsuko too...

he he he....i could only think about keiko and shizuru from yu yu hakusho, but thats all i could think of and i dont think anyone else would recognize you if you did dress up as them ^^ sorry, cant think of anything else ^^

Why do people call her Aerith?   She's Aeris in the game...is she different in the Japanese version or something?  They don't really have a sound for th....*confused*

I played Kingdom Hearts before FF7, so Aerith stuck.
