Sad Jaz is sad... and sick
« on: October 24, 2009, 03:00:18 pm »
Thursday started out fine but as it progressed by the time my work day was done it was 10pm and I had chills and fever. :'(

Yesterday started feeling better after lunch, and against better judgement I went to the sock dreams opening at their new location, got tied for second won a loaf of bread a month for a year from grand centeral bakery. ;D

But today fever n chills again, :'(
The kumoricon elections is tomorrow and I would be a bad staffer if I showed up to spread what ever I got( the plague I think) around, as there is no way I will be symtom free.
I have not missed an election in last 3 or 4 years.  I really like making goodies to pass around during meetings, and I can't even do that because I have a firm rule of not cooking for others when sick.

thanks, worst part is I called my work manager
( because tomorrow we have a manditory training at my work.  I really dont want to go an expose my coworkers to this nasty flu,(not that they all feel the same, cuz thats where I got this in the first place) )

anyway he didn't answer so I left a message and I waited 2 hours and called my general manager who said she was ill and to call my manager, which is what I did in the first place,

I also got a text from a co worker who said our manager texted her and asked if she was sick, and yet he has not returned my call,

Yeah , story of my work, it gets better
so I texted manager, who said it should be fine since I'll be with the people who are already sick, and if I absoulutly have to miss its okay but he really wants me there,

my thing is if I have to drag my sorry sick butt into work then I am going to stay for my whole shift, other wise its not worth the stress of driving to work and staying for only an hour of training.
If I am not any worse then how I am right now, (basicly not running a fever) then I will go in
and if co workers who arn't sick dont like it then I can tell them what management has said, lord knows I caught it from some one who came in sick anyway, And it would either be me at home sick and icky or me at work sick and icky..in a polo shirt earning 10 an hour...

PEDIALITE!!!

Honestly, It's a super awesome trick that has helped me EVERYTIME!
and many of my friends and family. You think Pedialite is just for kids?
Pshha! No way! It's packed with electrolyte thingies and goodness for
a body that needs extra good things. A lot of people do the Gatorade/
sports drink thing and I'll tell you, Pedialyte is worth like 3 or 4 of those
things... it's a super-saver.

I drink 1 a day when I'm feeling a bit under the weather (I pride myself in
not actually ever having the flu for more than a couple days because I
am obsessive about fighting off illness naturally... my immune system is
my strongest muscle... ^_^) and before I know it the bad tummy feelings
and dizzyness that make it hard to continue functioning are gone. That
in combonation with your medicines already in progress = functioning
Jaz-lady!

Hope this helps you out!

You really should just sleep, as much as you can physically get yourself to! lay in bed and rest, drink warm tea AND REST MORE! its the only thing that helps me when i have extended sickness!
