I'm a moderator at MangaBullet.com. We have recently developed a fantastic Con Event and Registration system. The registration check-in system is designed to be used AT the convention. It can process a check-in application in about 3 minutes. Have 3 laptops with the check-in open, that's one person per minute. It's simple, fast, and easy.
The system has been tested through Tsukino-Con (A Victoria, B.C. Anime Con), and was pretty fantastic.
