Real Life Anime Relationships
« on: August 15, 2010, 04:48:00 pm »
So I was on Youtube watching/listening to random anime AMVs (My suggestions list thing...) and it turned to a Zutara (AtLA) AMV where Zuko was holding Katara's grandmother's betrothal necklace up after he had captured her and everything. And I got to thinking, "That would be an awesome way to get proposed to..." You know, with being given one of those water tribe betrothal necklaces?
Maybe it's just me but I'm strange like that.

So what relationship events have you seen done in animes that would make you squeal if it happened to you in real life?

Some Examples:
The Water Tribe betrothal necklaces from Avatar the Last Airbender
The engagement ring from Athrun to Cagali in Gundam SEED Destiny
Killing people together with Death Notes
Presenting them a home cooked Bento
Window shopping while eating ice cream

The way Karin was proposed to in Kare First Love

Kiriya brings her into a room in a church, and there is a projection of the night sky littered with stars, all over the walls and ceiling so it looks like you were standing out in the middle of nowhere looking up on a clear night. He tells her to find the biggest star shaped like a heart, so she starts looking on all the walls. It's part of the constellation Taurus, which is her sign. When she touches it, she notices she can take it out of the wall. She pulls it out to find out its a ring with a heart diamond, and thats when Kiriya grabs her hand and ask her to marry him.

Well, for guys it would be like, what would you want to do for her to make her happy...?
How do you think a perfect anime relationship thing would go? Whether it's asking her on a date or proposing.

But yeah, for me it would definitely be the water tribe necklace.
Avatar, while not really an anime, is one of my favorite shows.
I think it would be amazing to be on a beach (because I love the ocean~<3) around night or sunset (cause I'm corny like that).
I mean, I like the rings I own but I'm picky with my jewelry. I hate diamonds (people tell me I'd be a cheap girlfriend... DX) so I'm not into the whole million dollar ring on my finger that could blind God. So since I'd be a difficult one to pick out rings for, I would prefer something that is unique for something like that. And then if he wants to get me a ring after, fine. Or I'll just wear my DragonFire stone ring on my left hand instead of my right.

Right now I'm actually wearing my school ring on my left hand. :P

It's funny. I was thinking the same thing about the necklace XD

Not really sure what my perfect one would be, since I'd probably be the one doing it...But yeah.

I would have to (since I'm a guy) propose the same way Miroku did in Inyuyasha "Sango, will you bear my children?"  Why, because it's COMPLETLY out of the ordinary, which is what us cosplayers are known for being/doing!

For my crush I would love to make him a home cooked bento.
But I wouldn't give it to him in person. I'd go to his work and leave it for him to find with a note.

Ah! I'd also love to get one of those long letters with no signature on it like in School Rumble that Karasuma finds in his locker from Tenma.

Neon - Maybe if you typed a complete sentence in a text message! I didn't understand what you said! You're missing a word or two in there or the sentence can be taken in many different ways!
Also, stay on topic and don't turn my child against me! D8

Romo - Don't listen to him, sweetie. He's just trying to make Mama feel guilty for his mistake.

Now, back on topic!

Oh gosh, if that happened to me I don't know what I'd do x3

Wah! I thought of another! X3

Getting a letter or something written in Al Bhed.
I can read it pretty well, it just takes me a bit to translate it back to English perfectly.

I don't know, I just love the language. Must be the nerd in me. :P

i just thought of something that i would love...
The female in question would confess her love for me, then we would have a long, passionate kiss; eyes locked, and glitter flying through the air.
yeah, it's pretty boring, but it happens in about 60% of animes

She would resurrect me just in time for me to notice the Rogue stealthed and creeping up behind her, and just before she gets sapped I'd charge and mortal strike him making him run away QQing, winning her heart forever, the end.

oh wait that's gaming

I'd love to sit under a cherry blossom tree and have lunch.

I do it with friends every Spring! We all pack lunches (some of us even using bento boxes!), meet up at Chemeketa Community College, then we bus over to the State Capitol and eat lunch under those awesome cherry trees given to us from Japan.

In "Blue Seed," nerd Yoshiki Yaegashi and gungirl Kome Sawaguchi fall in love.  In "Blue Seed 2," which takes place 2 years later, they have drifted apart.  In fact, Yaegashi seems to be uncomfortable around her.  As the group fights an aragami in San Francisco, Yaegashi & Sawaguchi plan on ramming it.  Before they do, Kome says "When this is over..." then she leans over, kisses him on the lips, "...you'll get me a ring, won't you, Yoshiki?"  He says, "Uh..., yeah!"  I think it's funny.

Another one would be the iconic kiss in the rain scenes. X3

It's night time or sunset and the two are walking down a street when it starts to rain. He stops her under a street light and kisses her.

I love when he pulls her into that little space and covers her mouth.
I totally think that coupling should have stayed. Tuxedo Mask needs to learn to be more of a man like Seiya!
Even though Seiya is really a chick...but that's just more of an insult to Darien! XD

I love how I keep thinking of more things randomly. XP

You know how during Christmas in anime's the couples walk around to buy presents and there is always all these lights and carolers around?
Well there's a place in Washington called Leavenworth and it's just like that during Christmas! I was there during the Holidays after a Speech and Debate tournament so we're all dressed up in suits and skirts and three of us walked around like we were upper class British people. All the places around there are really pricey but we kept calling them cheap and ate at Subway across the street.

But back on topic!
I would love to just walk around the city with the person I care about and look at all the cool shops as the carolers sing and the snow falls. It's just such a beautiful place~<3
