Battle Royale

It's nasty.
It's epic.
It's 15 year old teenagers grusomely murdering each other.
It's Battle Royale.
Today, I watched the first movie, and it was GREAT.
I mean it was FANTASTIC!
What's your opinion on the manga? The movie? The novels?
So what's your take on the controversial franchise?

I have manga books 1-2-3 planning to get more.
Oh my god.
It is the best thing I have ever read.

I saw the movie...I LOVE IT SO MUCH~
The manga unfortunatly, to me, isn't the best. I think it's mainly the way it's drawn that gets me, or the awkward dialog. Though it's still very good~ 8D

Honestly, I luv all of it. Though I like the Book and the Manga a bit more then the Movie. The Manga is one of my favorites falling just below Gantz. The only real exception being the 2nd movie which was garbage. If you haven't seen it I suggest avoiding it.

^LAWL I just started watching it. It seems very different from the first.
I really liked the concept but this movie seems to be destroying it.

The book is amazing and really compelling. I can't decide if I like that or the movie more though, because of the teacher in the first movie. His character is hilarious.

I thought the book was much better than the movie. There are a lot of things that happen in the book that don't happen in the movie. Some of the things that don't happen are the best part. I strongly suggest everyone read the novel it is great. One of my favorite books.

Anyways yes, I love it because it gives you a totally different view on society these days >.> With how horrible some children are, this movie/book just grabs them back to reality and let them see how scary things could be ^^

I have the movie but I've never read the book. I heard there are manga versions of this but I'm not attracted to it xD I think it would ruin everything =P Oh and in my opinion...the second movie sucked soooo much. It just made me reeeeally mad because the storyline was soooo boring compared to the first one. Also I think it took the whole "Battle Royale" out of it xD

And that my friends, is why everyone says that the first movie of everything is always the best xD

I watched the movie a LONG time ago, it was great.  One of my first foreign movies, and It is a must see for anyone who wants to see a japanese (gore?) flick.

So as soon as I'm finished with a book I have to read for school, Battle Royale is first on my list of must reads!
The second. Movie. Sucked.
It was a sequel, but it was not Battle Royale.
The first movie understood the corniness and used it to their advantage, but the second one didn't.
There were a lot of plot holes, and that kinda bummed me out.
Also, Nanahara kinda turned to a stupid jerk

I am 200 or so pages through the book, and it is fantastic! I love it! I think it has a lot more personality to it, since every character has a backstory. It should make the movie a lot more layered when I watch it again.

I bought the book. But have yet to make myself read it. Blame it on Lord of the Flies.

Oh God, that book is messed up. It made me feel like a terrible person for quite some time.
