Remember the good old days...?
« on: August 17, 2010, 11:23:21 pm »
Why don't we have any threads for reminiscing about stuff?
Whether it be memories from our lives, conventions, great shows, or the Kumoricon forums, there should be somewhere that we can go to remember things, and share them with others~

What got me started on this rampage of reminiscing you ask?
Well, as I was scrolling around, I noticed the Spoon Castle thread, and suddenly remembered the great Spoony Wars that occurred long ago. (Was it in '08, hurdur?)

Anyway, I want to hear people's yum'tastic memories.

Please share them with me?

Pots - Oh my gosh, that's sad and funny at the same time!
( I feel bad for thinking it's funny, poor Granny. >.< )

I REMEMBER THIS ONE TIME WITH MY SISTER, and we were just silly kids, and for some reason we decided to have a hot pepper eating contest.
By the end of it, after finishing an entire jar of habanero's, we were both completely sick and stuff.
I won btw. = u =

The great duck duck goose game in the middle of the lobby at Kumoricon 2004

The Trigun AMV that won the AMV contest in 2004, that was played at closing ceremonies and EVERYONE started singing and dancing to it in their seats.

Oh my gosh, those sound amazing! xD

I remember the Vocaloid photoshoot from last year, that was so much fun.
My main memory from that is me and Monica in our Rin and Len cosplay, skipping around the streets, and waving at cars. ♥

I'm just going to name out random things i remember xD

The year i stayed up all night waiting for Santa.

The day i got my first manga.

The day i realized today's teen culture will never be like it was in the 90's.

The day i got my first PS2 game.

My first crush on a real person (I was 9 and it was Stephanne from Lazy town(probably where i got my love for odd colored hair xD))

When i used to watch Pokemon and run around the house yelling "Arcanine! Arcanine!" when it was starting (good times....good time... xD)

The first day i went on 4chan, which was also the day i got my fear of naked men.

When Nickelodeon had good shows like Ren and Stimpy, Rugrats, The wild Thornberrys, Slime time live, Invader Zim, The Amanda show, All that, and every other show i can't remember at the moment...

The day i found out what yaoi was, which was also the day i lost my innosence (10-year-old + being a fan of Inuyasha + Fanfiction = LOSS OF INNOSENCE.)

And last, but not least. My first time at Kumoricon. o3o

yaoi has done wonders for me. I remember my first yaoi was hero heelz. My gay besty friend found it and got it for me without looking what it was. X3

I remember a time when I thought anime/manga was overrated crap because people were flinging it in my face all the time. That was back in middle school. Oh if I had only known then how much my opinion would change over time. xD
