Stereotyping was not the point, but repeated observations were.
When my wife asks my opinion about something. That isn't what she is asking. I have to guess at what she really wants to know. Last night I told her I was going to work today 4 hours early. She made a question something like "So you don't want to be hearing my alarm in the morning, do you." I said " no, not particularly." So she got mad at me. What, she wanted me to say but honey, I so want to be awake with you 3 1/2 hours after I go to bed, to hear your alarm clock go off, and a few minutes later, go off again, and repeat as necessary.? Maybe, but that is an unrealistic demand to make of someone.
Here's an observation that I have no scientific proof to validate; women will more than likely stand in the middle of the hall, path, whatever when stopping to hold a conversation, no matter how much it blocks traffic.
