The wait...
« on: October 14, 2010, 02:58:19 pm »
Waiting for cosplay items to arrive in the mail...IS IT MIND NUMBING OR WHAT??
That simple rush of excitment when you think, "Oh god it is here yet? Maybe it'll be here today :'D "...then that moment of dissapointment when the costume/wig isn't there yet.

Anyone else get this?

Yes. Whenever I order a wig, I check the mail every day just to see if it's finally here.

I know what you mean, it's so depressing sometimes too. Like when you know, just KNOW, that it was going to be here today, then walking in the house and seeing that the postman didn't bring it, I personally either go into a state of blankness or start accusing my annoying sister or dog of taking/eating it.

>_</ Right here. Except I get that way when I order bigger items (counting wigs) like clothing, hats, or shoes.

But what I really love is when I'm not thinking about it and I find that package on the counter... It's a joyous moment. <3

Along with not having the money to put into paypal and order anyway, the wait is another reason why I'd much rather hunt down a closer, cheaper, not-the-same-but-still-worthy wig and costume, and roll with it. It's going to be forever until the next convention contest anyway, so I don't expect to be criticized for my non-official but good enough cosplays.

When and if someday, I get enough money to order online, it'll only be a costume that has a low cost and is a character from a series I truly take to heart. Ex. I won't order an Akatsuki or Org 13 cloak and wig just to be able to blend into a Narutp/KH group. I would, however, order Goku's Turtle School and King Kai symbol patches, and hair wig if the wig in question looks true to the character.

Back in summer I had late-night conversations on the highly philosophical scale.
It was as follows:
Is it eleven yet?
No? Darn.
10:59.

I'm waiting for some tights and gloves right now, and I can't work on my goggles until I see what color they actually are so that everything matches.

They should literally be here any day, I hope I get them soon!!!

Just looked up my tracking number and my Butterfree top was checked in at Portland at 7 this morning, which means I should be getting it sometime today! I hope it fits the way I want it too....

Coming home to Fable 3 and a package? Today is going to be sweet.

The only time I ordered a costume prop of any sort, I didn't have this issue, because it arrived about 2 days early.  It was my Mikuru wig from '09.

Agreed waiting is the worst but at least you guys don't have to worry about your mom, who goes and gets the mail before you then torments you about having your package.....I pretty much have to wrestle her for the dang things!~...that is after litsening to her go, "there was a problem with the mailing and it got sent to australia" or "How much do you love me?" -_-;
