So I got some contacts..
« on: October 21, 2010, 08:32:17 pm »
I got some just plain colored contacts (yes I talked to my doctor blah blah blah) I don't need contacts or anything for sight. But I never really got instructions on how to put them in (all I got was a little paper thingy with steps to put them in.. So I was wondering if anyone could help? or something because I'm a bit scared to put them in my eye since I've never done it before,

Hold your eye open with one hand and put it in with the other hand.

This guy has a fairly good series of short videos on it:

(Edit: Changed the link after realizing the playlist I linked was completely out of order, so I made a new one.)

Having worn contacts for years before, it's simply a matter of two things.

One: Become comfortable with sticking your finger in your eye. Anyone with contacts can poke their eye for a dollar. And squeezing down on your eye.

Two: know what an inside out contact looks like, and how to flip it. The difference in direction could mean the difference between a couple seconds of annoyance, and minutes of excruciating pain.

(I wear glasses for now, contacts only when I need to)
...NEVER KNOWS BEST

I worried over nothing..they were really easy to put in (I could put them in in like 4 seconds), and they don't really hurt at all. Everything is a little fuzzy though because the white part of the contacts go over my pupil.

But over all, it was really easy :P
