Cosplay Help @_@
« on: February 06, 2011, 11:45:57 am »
I was planning as going as Sync Len, however my cosplay came in blue, so I tried fabric dying it black.

However when it dried out, it became stiff. @_@
Like very hard cardboard, lol.

I tried drying it in the dryer, however it stayed unstiff for a few minutes...

Is there any other ways to unstiff painted clothes?
Btw, the paint/dye is permanent, if that helps.

Wait...you painted? with what? fabric paint?
the only thing that I can think of that might help is putting it through the washing machine. It might wash off some of the color, but it SHOULD unstiff it SOME.

The best route to go next time is to use dip-dye, like Dylon fabric dye. It's really easy to use and never goes stiff...
Sorry, wish I could be more help.
Good luck!

@Meep: Yes I did use clothing dye, lol.

@Ticra: Whoops, must have forgotten to add that I used Fabric Paint. @_@''
Ah, alright then. I'll go check those out next time I tried fabric dying my clothes. And don't worry, you helped a ton!
