My friend does this thing called "Smokes for Jokes." You get some very, very interesting responses.

One time a homeless guy told him the following joke:

"Okay, so a black and a white guy go into a bar. Then the black guy gets up and leaves. So it's just the white guy in the bar. Then, he gets up and leaves, too.

*a moment of tense silence as he looks at him with a very serious look on his face*

I think it was you."

My friend just sort of looked at the guy like, "Uhh, okay buddy .. here's your cigarette." He then proceeded to run into the venue screaming "DOOD OMG HAHAHAHAHA CHECK THIS OUT" and told everyone what just happened.

I loved that, when I was in my cosplay as Rachel from the Lady Gaga episode of Glee, people who squeed to recognize it would explain the context of it to her friends.

As someone who is very much in favor of legalization of gay marriage and gay adoption, it made me happy that my cosplay was leading the hallways to be filled with people joyfully talking about Rachel and "her two gay dads".

Oh man I just remembered one.
I was walking from Pioneer Square to the Hilton while wearing DWC Meiko and behind me there were these three super stereotypical black guys behind me, and I heard them talking about me:

"Hey that girl there, you know who she looks like? You know Batman, like Arkam Asylum? She looks like that chick with the Joker..."

And then I crossed the street and tried not to die laughing.

"The water is cold!"
"The water's cold??!!"
"It was cold before anyone started taking a shower..."
"Maybe.... it's cold cause everyone is taking showers now?" (referring to convention people staying in hotel)
"Oh thank god! That's a good thing!"

the crowd there was talking about the hosts' kilt, saying its was a skirt, back and forth the host its not a skirt and defends its manly-ness as a kilt, what's its pattern and than some people saying it was a pretty kilt.
