This weekend, at the Beaverton Uwajimaya store, there'll be a Festival Japan in the parking lot. For both days, the event times are 11:00 am-5:00 pm.

There's going to be a taiko performance, kids games, martial arts demos, food and cooking demos, music and dance!

Anyone on the forums going? I am of course.

I'd go, but I'm hosting two Japanese girls this weekend and since the point is to show them "daily American life," going to a Japan festival seems a bit redundant.

I was JUST talking to my dad about going to Uwajimaya tomorrow and he said yes! I didn't even know this was this weekend!!
