As I told someone last night: In my county, most homeless people aren't druggies. Oh, there are some, of course, but not all of them. A lot of them are Vietnam veterans who couldn't adjust to normal life and have PTSD, and they didn't know how to get help (after all, when they got home from Vietnam they were treated horribly by other vets and by the government, not to mention civilians).
I heard one story about a guy who lives in a tent somewhere in Sutherlin, I think it was. He refused to get help and was threatening people with a hunting rifle. It was really sad.
