Just got back from the dentist and jaw is stiff from anesthetics...

Any recent anesthesia-related experiences, KC?

I had to get some numbing shots for my ankle after a really bad sports injury so they could mess with it without me screaming and yelling in pain. Which was fine and dandy since I don't mind shots. Until they finish a half hour later or so and I go to hop down. Ankle is numb. Fall on face. Get bloody nose.

Grace, I have it.  8)

I had some Secret Aardvark Habanero Hot Sauce on my omelette today, and it made my bottom lip go numb. Does that count?

I had a lump about the size of a golf ball under my armpit back in feb, it hurt so I went to urgent care and it turned out to be a staph infection sealed in an abcess
good part was it kept the infection from making me really sick, those things can put you in the hosplital

bad part was they had to cut it open which numbing it hurt, but they couldnt numb inside of it or under it so 2-3 cuts into, I wasn't numb any more

It hurt, it hurt a LOT

All this pain is making me cry

Every time I go to the dentist! It doesn't help that they use a huge a** shot that looks like it came out of a horror game!

I wish I had such an experience. At least your knock-out was interesting! :DI just kind of went fuzzy then blacked out.

Last time at dentist, it took forever for them to numb me so I couldnt feel the drill, like drill ouch numb, drill ouch numb.
While the numbing stuff was kicking in the dentist was asking me tons of questions about true blood, because she watches the show and I read the books and watch the show

Expensive and yet really, really important to do. (LOOKING AT YOU PEOPLE OVER THAN 50!) I'm surprised you had to get one at your age. Hope everything is alright, Miria.

Ugh. My stomach is really hurting right now. Guess that's what I get for going on a Taco Bell binge. Bleeeeeerrrrrrg.

^ Yeah, my doctor ordered one because they couldn't figure out what was wrong with me and my family has a history of polyps.  :( Everything turned out fine, though, thankfully. And thanks.

Real happy to hear that, Miria! :)

Speaking of colons, anyone who needs fiber in their diet should try steel cut oatmeal. It's really cheap if you buy it in bulk or Bob's Red Mill sells a pound of it for about $4. Takes waaay longer to cook than instant oatmeal, but it lasts longer and tastes really, really good. Great way to get iron, too! My favorite way to eat it is with a small splash of milk and a good dose of honey :9
