I started a topic in the skits/contests section last year about repeating an unofficial event that was held last year: Pokemon Gijinka battles.

Last year's Gijinka battles was a blast, and several people expressed the hope that it could be done again. The reason I am posting here, is for one simple reason.
Let's make it official.Last year's turnout was pretty much most the Pokemon cosplayers at Kumoricon, and then some. It helped that it was scheduled right after the Pokemon cosplay photo shoot, at the same venue. I'd estimate the attendance to be around one hundred last year, and that's with no more publicity than the forums (which, as it turns out, is far from common knowledge among Kumoricon-goers) and me walking around the convention center with a homemade sign advertising the event.
I submitted a form to make this an official event, but I'm not taking any chances. Even if Kumoricon doesn't make it official, It will still happen on:
Both days 1 and 2
2:00 PM
the gazebo, in the park across the street from the 'con.
There will be one major difference from last year this time around, however....
Cosplaying a pokemon will not be required to participate. That's right folks, If you are not a Pokemon cosplayer, TO HECK WITH IT, have a battle anyways!
Any thoughts? (Though if it is about participating, please post in the thread that's linked above)
