Well, since Chan & I are having a baby, we've made agreements on what our child will be named once it's born.

Boy: Conrad Hartford McPherson
Conrad - This used to be a strong family name on my side, and I want to bring it back.  Definition: an English name meaning Bold Counsel.
Hartford - It started off as a joke; some of Chan's friends are planning to do the 50 states as Hetalia characters.  Since Chan was born in Connecticut, she's going to represent that state.  We talked about if the baby was kicking, or something, and people would ask if she were okay, her response could be "It's okay, Hartford is acting up a bit." 

Girl: Kyrie LeeAnn McPherson
Kyrie - Chan's middle name, it's Latin for "God have mercy," and comes from the mid-'80s hit "Kyrie Liaison" by Mr. Mister.
LeeAnn - Honestly, I don't remember where this idea came from.  I think Chan threw it out there, since she didn't like the middle name I pitched out with it, which was Lina.
Note: It's been decided that, should the baby be born on Dec. 15, we'll change the middle name to Kelli, in honor of Chan's best friend, who's b-day is the 15th.

Is hard to pick a name, I am app about the initials,
We had it down between zack or Max, when Chris says he preferred Max (much to his parents regret they kept asking what happened to Zack)
Middle name was the hardest
Washougal helped us pick that, we needed a n middle name so I Max's int would spell m'n'm
Chris would suggest Neil forgetting I hate Neil diamond,
And we needed a strong name to stand up to Maximilian,
Then Nolan was suggested, sounded good but what did it mean?
Champion so together greatest champion!
When Max is mad or grumpy I like to call him Max fury: furious to the Max!

Thank you. To a degree, I agree, but it's important to consider their definitions, your reasoning, and how likely is it that kids can find ways to make fun of it. (Of course if a kid wants to make fun of a name badly enough, they'll find a way to do that).

Pffft when I found out I was pregnant the very first time, I named him Ryou and if it was a girl, Yami because I thought they were cute. It matters to you what you'd name the child, not how weird or unlikely it would be to name them that. Granted, poor baby never made it to our world, but I still would have named it one of those names.

Uncommon names are awesome. My first daughter, if she has blonde hair like me, she will be named AnnabellaMarie Sadie (first and middle names). I like old long names. They're beautiful.

My kids are all going to be named after the Greek Gods. If I have twins, regardless of gender, will be Artemis and Apollo, and if I have triplets they will be Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos. My boys will start off as Hades, Hermes, and Aries, and my girls will start with Athena and then I'm open to which goddess comes next.

It's sort of a running joke between a friend of mine and myself about my future kids...
I once pointed out that I absolutely love the name Zelda, and would name my daughter that. I also considered the name Trinity, like from The Matrix. My friend also suggested I name my son Arsene after Lupin III. Probably wouldn't, but I would definately name my kids after videogame/movie/anime characters.

I really like the name Chihiro for a girl, like from Spirited Away, but that's what we named our dog, so it's definitely out of the question for any kids I'll have.
For boys, as far as anime inspired names go, I like:
