How did you like the meeting?

So we had a great meeting in Salem this past weekend, complete with manga swap, AMV and anime viewing, tabletop and console gaming, and cosplayers galore. HUGE thanks to LANIME for their help on this project, and all my good volunteers and staff who showed up EARLY to help out.

About 32 were in attendence for the meeting, up from about 5 at the November meeting. Many more showed up for the festivities afterward. We exchanged a lot of good information on topics such as staff status and requirements, meeting structure, possible future events, the future of AMVs, and state of department affairs. Good information and a good time had by all.

This meeting was what I would consider a great success! There will be many more meeting/events in the future. What I'd like to know is, what did you think?  It took a lot more effort to pull this together, so I want to make sure our time is spent well in upcoming meeting planning.

Comments and ideas are welcome. After all, this is your anime convention.

I think it was nice to have it in Salem, Portland is a little hard for me to get to on any kind of regular basis, I know a lot of people are from Portland area, but there are quite a few from Salem and Eugene as well.
Plus L'anime parties are always fun.
And now I'm a catgirl?

Did any one use the new Slogan I found for the meeting/Party?

When the gavel came down on the last item in the meeting (did Kumorricon inherit the giant cartoon orange gavel from TUNAC and the presidents scepter of power) every one should have jumped up and shouted.

"Let's have a night on the town! Onward to the Cosplay Karaoke!"

then ran to the party

@ BigGuy We will be moving the meetings around to accomodate those folks who live in different towns. The next will be back in Portland, followed by a meeting in Eugene in March.

@ SuperJaz3p I didn't recognize you! I haven't talked to you since you were a moogle at my Halloween party. :( Say hi, so we can talk DDR.

@ Vondan I WANT THAT GAVEL!!! Especially if it sqeaks.

Heh, I remember buying that mallet.  Unfortunately, that mallet went away with the "Queen of All Things to Be Hit" Jane, the former Prez of TUNAC.

@ EcchiSpice  (i'm so young and hip now I use the "@")

I would not have that mallet (and I think it  did sqeak)  I was not a real member of TUNAC or a U of O student.   I just showed up to viewings for a year when i was doing all the free films and events every night on campus.  I was the creapy old guy who would say damn it there is no one over 30 who ever shows up

I'll try to make the march meeting here in eugene.   I should make a giant "Cloud Buster Mallet" and a Black leather belt to hold it.    In another post I said I could make WWF style belts for the DDR winners

I'll more likely come to the meeting than the party in feb.

I'm a party dud and not into music or dancing.  I'll bring one of my canes as an excuse for no one to try to get me to do DDR.
