well see, with NH3, the player has the option of choosing one of the three to activate when performing an ougi. So if the player doesn't want to button mash, he can just pick that in the options menu. Only when the opponent activates his ougi will that player have to button mash, but hey, everyone has a weakness in one of those three choices anyways, so in a sense it's a strategic thing.
