Ichigo Hair, Spray or wig?

Hey all, if I do get to go to sakura con I am gonna just whip up a simple cosplay and i was thinking street suave Ichigo. Clothes will be easy grabs, but I was wondering if anyone ever tried colored hair spray and how did it look? if not i'll think about wiging it

Wigs generally look better for the most part. If you're going to color your hair, actually dye it - spray tends to look too messy.

yeah but i cant dye my hair a "un natural" color for my work =/

I say go for the wig. My friend sprayed her hair once and while she was dancing at the kumoricon dance event....
It went aaaaalllllll down her face and she had to go wash it out =(
Not only THAT but a wig usually looks a lot better anyway >__O

If you can afford to then it is best to wig it. They usually look better when it comes to unnatural colors and spray is just awful looking. I just think its so sad when you see a girl with her hair sprayed pink to do sakura and all the other girls have such pretty pink wigs or dyed hair.

alright, i wonder how it will go over with my medium length hair... thinking about just doing light yagami if i dont feel like buying a wig

yeah i vouch for the thing about the spray not looking good... i did ichigo last con (which was my first cosplay and con). when i looked at the pictures it a ok job but i could still see my normal hair through it. plus their was orange dots all over the collar and some of back of the costume.  one girl was nice enough to brush it off for me when she noticed it the second day

These sites show how to get a wig on over medium length hair.  I like the way the first one deals with the hair at the back better, but the other shows the pin curls better.  There are also links at the bottum that show putting on a wic cap and wig.

I have long hair and find it easier to just put it in two french braids to get it all under a wig.

I just choped all my hair off, my dandruff was getting to the point i couldn't get it all out my hair is way too thick =X

Colored hair spray is the bane of my existence. It is sticky and NEVER looks as good, and is in most cases detrimental to your overall costume. BUT wigs can be expensive, if you have light hair already Koolaid makes a wonderful temporary dye that washes out easily and even makes your hair smell good

Investing in a good wig might be a good idea.

But srsly, spray = no way

I know it sounds funny but it looks pretty darn good and you won't be stuck with orange hair for six months XD.

Wiiig.
Spray is horrible.
It's sticky, you can't really touch or style your hair once it's in, some have a strong and I mean strong hair spray odor that doesn't go away till it's washed out.

It stains your scalp, your clothes, and not to mention the area where you're spraying it, you don't want to stain the hotel.

Also, if you sweat, it'll run off and stain your cosplay.
