When:
June 24, 2006 2pm in the banquet room.

Buffet lunch is $5.50 if anyone cares and it's pretty easy to get to. Just take i-5 (north or south which ever way Eugene is) take exit 195A Stay in the right lane and turn right at the first light. Follow that straight for a few blocks (a little past where the con was held the first year) and it should be on the right.

We will be breaking into groups once more, so come prepared to plan. More agenda items to come.

Any one who will teach me how to put a Google maps link in a post will earn my utmost appreciation! (For whatever that's worth...)

Just click "Link to this page" in the upper right in any Google Maps view. It places into the address bar a URL that holds the exact state of the view (position, zoom level, markers, what you searched for, etc.):

What tags do I put in around the text if I want it to read "here" so you can click on the word instead of a link?

Will it work the same way on the main page Wordpress posts?

You would do this for the forums (since they don't allow HTML, which is what websites use):

[ url=www.kumoricon.com]here[ /url] without any spaces.

For the main page you would do this:

<a href="www.kumoricon.com">here</a>

Gahh!! It had to be scheduled the same day as what I had planned for my birthday celebration.

I suppose the two might still be able to coincide peacefully, as long as the meeting doesn't last forever... at any rate, I'll probably be leaving by 4:30 at the latest...

I guess I should be glad it's in Springfield (NOT Eugene, you silly Portlanders), but I'm kinda wondering why it's later in the day this time when we usually start so much earlier. Sure, Portland is a long way away, but I have to drive that distance to make it to the Portland meetings, too, you know.

Okay, fair enough. Good luck with that. Will that be in private? I wouldn't try to participate in it, but I might show up early to see if I can pull people aside if a convenient moment presents itself.

I guess you could look at it that way. The General Meeting is at 2 PM. All staff need to be present. That meeting is open to the public. And before the general meeting, at 12 PM, the executives will meet, and that meeting is private.

The execs are meeting at Brenda's house, so if anyone wants to show at the restaurant to spend time with friends before the meeting, that's fine. We have the room reserved at 2 pm.

Yes, we will have registration at this meeting, as at all others.

The cost for non staffers is now $35.00. If you would like to be staff, talk to someone at the meeting, and you can get a discount on registration.

(Hint hint to everyone- we need Street Team in publicity and the Queen or King of All Signage in Ops)

Ok I'm gonna try and show up for the meeting, but that'll be a 2 hour drive for me and I need to find somebody to drag along for the drive or else it's not goona be the best idea for me. I'm a little under the weather at the moment so I need somebody to talk to to survive a 2 hour trip. Aka I'm offering a ride to anybody who wants to go (max 3 people) that are between Milwaukie and Eugene. I would prefer somebody a little closer to the beginning of the trip then later on in it, but give me a PM and we can see what can be done.

How's that for a long trip? (The 2 people I asked to come with me, in Seattle, both couldn't make it this time--so I'd be all alone!) If I could ask one thing (if it's possible for you), could you meet up somewhere roughly near I-5? Otherwise I fear it will take too much time to find a house address off in Milwaukie

(maybe you can suggest a meeting place, since you probably know the area better than me) PM/email/AIM, etc. if interested (and that goes for anybody else along the route from Seattle to Eugene also)
