Dress Code: Shoes?

Just wonderin', is it manditory that you wear shoes, or are things such as socks okay?  I'm sure bare feet are out of the question, as well they should be...  But yeah.  Socks or not?  >_>

The dress code is that the feet must have a sole on at all times. in cases such as socks you need to have a solid pad underneath. (sock/sandle combos are sold all over the malls)

Okay, thanks!  I've never heard of anything like sock/sandal combos before, unless you are talking about wearing sandals over socks. Which I don't think I'll do.  I think I might have to go with a pair of slippers. ^^'

There are these weird socks with built in soles that are okay to wear. I'm not sure what they are called, but they were all over china town in San Fran, and I believe I've seen them in Uwajimaya. They look kind of like an animal's foot when you wear them. They aren't furry, just...cloven.

@ecchi,

do you mean Tabi? I have a pair of tabi I got from uwajimaya, and they have the big toe seperate from the others, and padded bottoms.

I can't find them anywhere...  I know it's probably not, but I'll ask anyway...  Would it be alright if I sewed like some shoe insoles to the inside of a pair of socks?  The slippers look really akward.  T.T
