Policy regarding Minors and Guardianship
« on: September 05, 2006, 10:38:07 am »
While I was registering people this year, I heard many people complain that they could not find our policy regarding minors and guardianship on our website.  So, for those who suffered from this issue, I'd like to lead you through where to find it.

From the main page at http://www.kumoricon.org click on registration.  On that page, you will find the following:

"Anyone age over 13 and under 18 must have a signed consent form in order to attend the convention without constant adult supervision. (The adult guardian still needs to be on the hotel site.) Those 18 and above do not require a form. 12 and under must be escorted constantly by a paid legal guardian."

You can also find on that page:

The parental consent form:
http://www.kumoricon.com/files/forms/consent_form.pdf

And the link to the convention policies:
http://www.kumoricon.com/?page_id=66

In the convention policies, it states the following:
"Minors: Age 12 and under: All children age 12 and under must be accompanied at all times by a parent or legal guardian who is also a registered guest of Kumoricon. Age 13 and up: All minors 13 and up must have a parent or legal/appointed guardian available at the convention site at all times while the minor is in attendance. All guardians must be age 18 or over and have parental permission from the minor’s parent or legal guardian."

So, you see, not only is it on our website, but it's on the website multiple times, and it's really not that difficult to find.  ^_^

And now, you are better prepared for next year.
Take a chance 'cause you might grow
