If there are not a lot of areas to eat around the con that fit into the whole japaphile mix.  What about the idea of showing the Hotel kitchen manager a menu from a raman house, Japanese take out or bento booth and remind him that the week of the con there will be over 2000 people in the hotel who like this crap and have to eat but at the cost of no more than a large fast food meal

You know what I think would be best?

If we could somehow get the asian food places that have booths at Saturday Market to set up chop in the park across the street from the convention.

They're mobile, the park is set up for such things already, they wouldn't make more work for the hotel, we don't have to worry about getting clearance from the hotel or papers for food handling, they'd be easy to find for the attendees, and for the small ammount of trouble it'd be for the vendors to get there they'd make a LOT of money.

All we need is one food wagon with spicy noodles.

Allthough asking the hotel to add some Asian food to the menu would not be a big problem if they are willing thats a good idea I have no idea of the area or the park but if they already have had carts of booths there from time to time it should be no problem.

I place a geas on Tom to go to the next Saturday Market and get Spicy Noodles.  Chat them up but don't be to chatty just find out if they would be willing and see if they have nerdy aunts

Dude, please!

If slapping a geas on me was that easy I'd be running a Robotech  game every sunday, my pocky armor would be done, and staffing some position in publicity!

Besides, this is the job of the Relations department.

Now that I can probably do. Not that I eat spicy noodles, but the guys that can do spicy can usually get anything else we'd need. I think that you can feed the whole con with two city blocks if you have Subway, sushi, and yakisoba within eyesight and a pizza place that delivers.

I actually just plan on bringing this idea up at the meeting this month and giving it to Sean.

If Sean's not there, well I guess I'll have to put together an email to Mr. Relations so that we don't have to worry about playing telephone with the chain of command. They told me to email him my last idea bout the Vancouver art gallery after all.

I should make a list...
