Chibi Chibi Con on Mar 17-18 - booth! [fixed month]

Attention volunteers, staff, and street team!

Kumoricon is setting up a booth trade with Chibi Chibi Con, a small con in Olympia, WA run by a local anime club.

It is held March 17-18, Sat-Sun. Admission is free! This con does not have a web site. However, we will post more details including the exact location as we get them. From what I have gathered here and here, it is run by the Giant Robot Appreciation Society, a club at Evergreen State College, and it goes from noon-midnight on Saturday and 9am-9pm on Sunday. I also found a photo gallery from their 2005 event here.

This would be a great opportunity to promote Kumoricon! You'd get to attend their con, too. We are still finalizing the details including the size of the booth. (If we don't end up getting people then we may just have a little corner for flyers and a poster instead.)

EDIT: The date is March. It was incorrectly stated as April in the thread subject, but was always correct in this post itself.

maybe there is someone who is going up to the sakuracon meeting who could also hit this on their way up or back? i would if i had the money...but i don't ...sounds like fun though

The month has been fixed in this thread title. The con is in March. It was always correct in the first post of this thread, but incorrectly stated as April in the subject.

D'oh...nobody noticed until now...thanks Sarah for pointing it out.

I hope nobody was affected by this. Please let us know if you were planning on April using the mistaken month and this affects you.

(So yes, the con is in one week.)

Come one come all and try out your cosplay before SakuraCon, or those of you not able to make it to Sak, let's get a vanload of people off to ChibiChibi con this coming weekend!

Street Team had a few people who were "tentative" helpers for this event not be able to make it, so we really need some more bodies helping at our table! Please get in touch with me however you can (PM or Email or post here!)
