"Heroes" fan over here. Unfortunately I missed the first 1 or 2 episodes.

I'm watching it! So far it's an excellent show. I can't wait to see what exactly the nurse dude (forget his name) has as powers.

Before this fall tv "season" I hadn't watched anything on network tv except for Lost and football for a long time...and now with Heroes, The Nine, Friday Night Lights, and Lost.. <.<

I love that show! It's so addicting. I'm rooting for the Japanese man! He's so funny!

It's funny, in my dorm room, my two roommates and I have a set schedule of what we watch every single night. None of us really used to watch TV until this year. Hehe...

Hiro is certainly adorable. I have a soft spot for the mimic because he is Jess on Gilmore Girls, another of my favorite shows. oddly enough, his brother was amy's boyfriend on judging amy. i can't recall where i've seen the cheerleader before and it's driving me batty! she kinda reminds me of the heroine in "the craft"? I haven't yet seen the pilot or 2nd ep, myself, nor checked out the graphic novel and blog, but just the fact that there is a graphic novel attendant to the show is a great opportunity, imho, for us to expand awareness of manga and doujinshi.....In my dream world I'd advertise cons during commercials.....

I don't understand Niki....highlight to read questions containing spoilersdid she develop dissociative identity disorder from ptsd? and then her alter ego happens to be able to rip people limb from limb? don't forget we are beginning to see the downsides to superpowers....isolation, persecution, blackmail, mental disintegration, drug addiction, fear, i don't think the cop has woken up from collapsing after being overwhelmed with others' thoughts yet....btw he and the mimic seem like the nicest folks on the show....is the cheerleader's dad a bad guy? is he out to end the world? or save it? was he surprised that his daughter would be involved in the saving of the world? or was that look on his face that he was surprised hat anyone else would know about her abilities? also we shouldn't assume she could never die. she can regenerate from certain things....but we don't know that she's not imperviable, i don't think, or maybe she's limited in number of times this would work. otherwise we would not have to "save the cheerleader [to] save the world". obviously....like in kyle xy...the 'biological parents' presented at the end were fake......suresh's book is claiming quantum leaps in evolution...is the assumption that these qualities are passed down genetically? what about niki and gl's son then? would he have his mom's, his dad's, or some amalgam, or something else?

meantime was this show based on a graphic novel or was the graphic novel created for the show?

meantime for folks unfamiliar, we should plug within the con communities that two of the stars are japanese and that japanese is frequently spoken in the show, as well as the comic book aspects....

My theory on the cheerleader is (highlight) she is invincible unless she is separated or something is in her like that spike in her head from earlier. In the painting it looked like she had her limbs cut off which makes me wonder if that's her one (but big) weakness.

I saw an article in the newspaper not that long ago where it talked about Hiro. It mentioned he seems to be the favorite among the cast since he's the comic relief and the others are all angsty about their powers (not my exactly, just paraphrasing). It was a pretty neat article. Unfortunately I can't remember much more of it other than he's now stopped on the streets by random fans and there was a short biography of him.

yeah claires dad is pretty sweet. and beyond hiro, and omg sulu (shhhhhh) one of the coolest characters. but i think thats about done what with him not remembering his daughter after tonights show, at least thats what i got, and if thats the case then hes gonna be hunting her...which is effed up.

My roomate came up and started talking about what he saw in the preview and I had to shut the door in his face.

Oh, also, the invisible dude is so much more awesome if you watched the 2005 Dr. Who series. The characters have some eerie similarities.

I am super spoiler-sensitive and hate them, so I try to shield myself from media I am interested in but haven't seen/played/read yet.

Yeah, I was a huge fan before it aired. They showed a special extended cut of the first episode last year at Comic Con. A friend of mine who had a video camera recorded it and sent me it a few months before it aired.

Worst mistake of my life. Because then I had to wait until the second episode to know what happend. Stupid me, lol.

I really enjoy the show, its got all the things that make a show good, and I enjoy that.

I'm getting quite sick of these "Breaks", espeicially after the first one. However, when it comes back its all new until the season finale.

Ah well, until then, I have Lost to watch, aswell as Smallville and Supernatural. Plus, Wrestlemania is not to far away for me to thoroughly enjoy.

Oddly enough I had several hours last night of recurring nightmares that I and others were being terrorized by Sylar & I personally had to evade him several times, some of them with normal abilities some with heroes-type abilities.

I frequently dream myself into scenarios of whatever I've most recently watched or read...I think that is part of what led me into fanfiction...however, it's odd for it to be a lengthy, recurring nightmare rather than a light positive dream, and it's rare for it to be so many weeks after most recently seeing the material.

Geeking out waiting for the new episode today.

The May 1st edition of The Asian Reporter has an excellent article about Masi Oka on page 28. I highly suggest reading it to any fans.

It just about made me cry I thought it was so great.
