YES! That was so cool!

Now, how do we go about doing that for the Sakura fest? I think that would be a good opportunity for us to try something like that.

Thanks for bringing that to our attention Reppy!

It may be because you don't have "Flash Player'

Oh no, my internet connection is just super slow so it's not loading. I'll try it again though.

Edit: Hah, got it to work that last time. It was Mustache's Uber Geek mind powers.

That's the Haruhi dance..from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. There was a group up at Sakura-con that performed it. Look 'em up...The Dreamcatchers.

Still really cool, random people doing that in the middle of a parking lot.

Wheeee!
Harajuku / Akihabara always have people gathering and doing silly things on the weekends. Harajuku is a lot of fun because they often have a bunch of garage bands lining the streets playing J-pop and suchlike. It's too bad the cops stopped them... they actually were reasonably descent dancers and it's not like they were blocking traffic or causing trouble - just having fun.

Last time we were in Tokyo (Sept 2002), we saw a bunch of Gothic Lolita types hanging out as well as several girls dressed as Chii/dark Chii. I dressed as Murielle Bouquet (Noir) just for grins and giggles to see if anyone noticed; they didn't since Murielle's outfit is somewhat mundane when compared to the wild Lolita outfits and other silly outfits that other people were wearing...

i seriously think we should consider performing this on stage at the sakura festival ... what do you guys think? it would be awesome! we have about a week for practice. XD (plus i'm sure it's fine with individual practice, i don't think those japanese people met together before they did that....)

Haha, dude, yes! Who wants to do the Yuki chant? =D More importantly, who wants to be the "U" in his name? Ya'd have to bend over backwards, and then some!

But seriously, I've seen a lot of people performing this dance and it just looks like so much fun! I shall learn it too! (Even though I'm not normally a dancer outside of my own house...) And it'll give me something to do now that swim season is over. *starts dancing* ^o^
