Gasp, first timer!

So, this'll be like my fourth year going to Kumoricon and...

I'm actually going to cos-play this year!

And dont forget if you need a chaperone you are suposed to bring your single childless nerdy aunt between 30 and 40 (With glasses) who wanted to go to cons and play RPG's and Talk to boys boy about Computers and LOTR in High School but was to dorykdorably shy.

I don't know if I like pocky I've never had it.  

I'm coming with my friend theresa and tried to talk her into dressing up as Rin but she's just as tall as I am and like Kikyo better.  So if you see a kikyo and sesshomaru together it might be me and my friend.

I'm so glad that there will be so many first time cosplayers...

      don't forget to consider entering the cosplay contest
</shameless plug>

if you note in the rules, we DO have several divisions so that beginners won't be competing directly against "repeat costumers".... and judges are trained (by moi) to score the beginners on a different scale than ones who have been costuming for a long time... why? mostly to encourage beginners to enter the competition and also to (hopefully) encourage those who should enter to do so (many times people have avoided entering because they think they aren't "good" enough....myself included - I didn't get to enter many times because by the time i felt I was "good" enough to enter, I wound up being picked to be a judge... sigh)

Skits are not required...if you check the Cosplay rules, we also has a "walk-on" division. This means that if you have a good costume, but can't think of a skit, you can enter the costume judging only (skipping the skit judging) and then strut around the stage like a fashion model to show off your awesome costuming skills.

It is possible to do a one-person skit, though most people feel more comfortable doing a skit with a friend or two ( or more....). A good skit is one in which we can easily hear what you're saying. It should be entertaining and fairly short.   :D

moi?  Not exactly sure, if it isn't cotton it is hard for me to identify.  It's got an inner liner too and that bit fir thing that I must wear over shoulder it is sorta like wearing a blanket on top of all of that
