My hands-down favorite is Haibane Renmei.  After that, Whisper of the Heart, Only Yesterday, Emma, and Kino's Journey.  Honorable mention goes to Voices of a Distant Star, Lain, EVA, Ghost in the Shell, Standalone Complex, Texhnolyze, and Azumanga Daioh.  

I guess my favorite types of anime are:
Drama
Metaphysical/Philosophical
Slice of Life
Romantic Comedy
Magical Girl

Oh Yeah!!!  I bought it based solely on the goodness of Voices of a Distant Star.  In the case of the latter, my own DVD copy arrived from amazon before I had to return the rental copy to the video store.

some of my favorite animes are inuyasha, naruto, love hina, chobits, card captors sakura, blood +, trinity blood, eureka seven, gundamn wing (the orginal one),

so basicaly i like A LOT of diffrent anime there are very few animes i dont like.
