Hello, y'all!

I may have told some of you this before, (I know I talked with Leashy about it), but my landlord is kicking my family out of our home (that we've been in for nearly 10 years).

Anyway, my mom & I were looking into a housing option, & after jumping through a bunch of BS, we were turned down. The thing that "Denied" us the home was that my mother has a commission-paying job, & she gets cash, not a check. The guy who turned us down said that it wasn't a real job.

So, yeah, I'm gonna have to figure something out in terms of housing here pretty soon. My father has offered to take me in, which sounds to be the best option in some ways, but, I don't know. Either way, my family has to vacate by the 15th of the month.

(On a side note, within the next week, I have a sister going in for surgery, another graduating high school, & another getting married. Timing sucks).

You could spend a few nights on my couch if you absolutely get desperate, but staying with your dad probably sounds like the best option for now, can you not afford an apartment? They have some cheap 1-2 bedroom apartments in vanocuver

Thanks, everyone. I'll try to answer any questions that came up.

Dakrum is right, my father lives in Vancouver; he lives a little bit North of the Vancouver Mall. If I was to move in with him, it wouldn't make much of an impact on school, but I don't know about work. As for our relationship, he & I have no problems; in fact, I was planning on calling him later today to update him on what's going on.

As for my mom, she's been looking into many options. We were just recently turned down for a trailer park (because my mom has a commission job). She's also been looking into RV's & just talked with someone about a possible shared-house relationship thing.

Currently, there is just my mom & I, plus my youngest sister (the one who's graduating). Chances are she'll move in with her father up in Woodland.

As for an apartment, I make somewhere between $600-700 a month. I have no credit & not enough saved up money to meet the 2 or 3 times the rent requirement that most plaecs have. I've been thinking about finding someone on campus who's looking for a roommate (I see flyers like that every now & then).

Once again, thanks everyone for your support. When more news comes up, I'll let you guys know ASAP.

Try Craigslist, under the room/shared housing section. There's always a ton of listings there.

Actually, it's a great way to find damn near anything. I got a used TV from someone who was selling one there, and my friend got a wonderful roomate that way. That roommate had a friend who is also now my roommate. Craigslist (mostly) rocks!

I don't think you want to try and find a date through it though. Someone in Eugene keeps flagging the Women for Men, so there is never any there. I guess only Womyn for Womyn all allowed here.

Location: Washougal! In fact, it is about 1 1/2 blocks away from where I currently reside!

To add to the awesomeness, it's where my best friend from the fifth grade use to live before he moved! (I think he went to Salem, actually).

Oh yeah, the rent for my current house is $900. This place is $625!

As a side note.. my brother recently joined the anime club. His name is Ryan. Red hair. Gigantic butt chin. Just kidding, but we do like to make jokes about his chin. (His co-workers call him "The Face.") Have you had a chance to meet him yet?

I went to SNA, I think, 2 weeks ago.. unfortunately it wasn't as packed as I remember 5-6 years ago.. (gosh, has it been that long already? gettin' old..) I'd love to see that place packed again.

To reppy - He's your brother? Whoa! As for the amount of attendees, that's mainly because the school killed SNA for a while, but we brought it back.
