So, a few years ago, I bought a 3.2MP Canon PowerShot S230. It was refurbished. It worked very well for almost a little over 3 1/2 years. I noticed the images were starting to become garbled and it was essentially unusable. I looked around online, thinking maybe I should buy a new camera.. then I thought, "Hm, I wonder if maybe I could upgrade the firmware and it would fix it.. Maybe the software is corrupt?"
So, I goto Canon's website.. and I see an image with info about my camera. Apparently, there was some sort defect in the CCD hardware included with certain models of camera. Very few cameras in the US had this problem. As luck would have it, mine was one of them. But: they said they would repair them for free no matter what the warranty status was. I was pretty excited.
Fast forward 2 weeks. I get the package in the mail today. "Oh, this box sure is big.. hmm.. it's a new box.. wait, I don't think this is my camera.." I opened it: A 6.0MP Canon PowerShot SD630! I'm so freaking excited right now, hahaha. XD
My old camera.. I actually took those pics above with my dad's Canon s230 he let me borrow for the con, haha. ^_^
I am so happy right now, hahahaha! XD
