Okay....we've all heard them. We've all told them. So why not post about them!? Food Horror stories.

I think the worst one for me....was when my grandma's friend ate at Mc Donalds. She ordered one of those chicken sandwiches and couldn't finish it because she felt too sick. It got so bad she had to go to the emergency room. They asked her if she had a sample of what she had eaten, so she hands the doc the leftover sandwich. Weeellll.....the guy tells her she just ate a chicken tumor.

Can you top it?

Ewwww! That is totally disgusting!

I really don't have anything quite that gross. The latest thing was some bad milk. Went to the store and bought a gallon of milk. Got home, put it in the fridge. Then later opened it up for a nice cool glass of milk only to find it was spoiled after taking a big gulp.

Took the milk back to the store and they replaced it. The date on the milk said it was still good. Got home and opened it up only to find the replacement was bad too. Third trip to the store and talk to the manager. Apparently someone left the pallet of milk out on the loading dock (in 108 degree heat) after it had been delievered! So all the milk they had was bad...yet they were still selling it.

I then got my money back and went to a different grocery store. At least the bad milk didn't make me sick, I guess that was a good thing.

I was at a mexican resteraunt, and I crunched into something that wasn't really crunchy just hard, and I was eating cheese enchiladas. I pulled it out, and it was a 1" long piece of wood.

Being young I ignored it set it aside and kept eating.

I know someone who used to be a barista and a large cranefly landed in some ladys drink as she was making it. And... she didn't feel like making a whole brand new one so she swirled it in and gave it to the lady X3 AAAAAA-hahahaaa. That would've sucked- High in protein though.
It's hard being pinq.

Bad milk? That's really sick. I would have thrown up.

I was working at burger king. And they just realeased their new fry sauce. It tastes just like spaghettios. Some lady comes up to the counter and shows me her little tub of fry sauce. I leaned over to take a look inside. I swear I wanted to throw up right there. Somehow little wormy creatures had made their way into the sauce. I will never eat spaghettios again....or fry sauce.

The worst that's happened to me was eating a Subway sandwich and chomping down on an olive pit they forgot to remove. In the words of that dude from Air Gear, I am "super ******* baka" for eating there.

nothing too serious has happened yet.
once i ordered lasagna to-go from the old spaghetti factory, and ate half of it that night. later i got sick and started throwing up bad, but i didn't know it was from the lasagna ... so the next day i ate the rest and got really sick. ^^; eeya.
and once i saw a worm wiggling it's way out of an oyster. i never ate one of those ever again. >x<

I had a friend that took her mom out to dinner at the Olive Garden and as they were eating their salad her mom chomped down on something hard. It was a good sized piece of glass that shattered a number of her back molars in her mouth. The dug through the rest of the salad to find many more pieces of glass. Come to find out later as they were going through the process of sueing the company for the damages to her teeth someone had droped a glass that of course shattered and pieces fell into the bowl....

Another time my family went to eat at a basque resturant and the only ones of us that didn't get sick were those of us that didn't eat the salad. Come to find out weeks later, if lettus isn't properly washed the pesticides can make you very ill.

Moral: Salads aren't as healthy as we make them out to be.

In truth, Iceberg lettus isn't at all healthy, it doesn't have any vitamins or nutrients. It's just filler. Now Romaine, Spinich, and darker greens are the ones you want to stick with ^.^

I remember once in 9th grade, we were having like this...food event thing. And we all had to try this type of stuff they spead on babie's food in Australia.

It was called "Vegimite." I'm sure to some people it's not that gross,  but It's made out of yeast or something, so it's REALLY REALLY salty.

A bunch of guys in the class thought it would be cool and make them look aewsome if they all took a huge spoonful.

Most of them ended up puking in the boy's bathroom a few seconds afterwords. :o

Also, when I was about ten, my mother bit into a cookie that had raisins in it, but some of the "raisins" were actually rocks.

So it broke a bunch of teeth, so she ended up sueing for medical bills. XD

I don't think I can really top the chicken tumor. But here's my story.
I was at a KFC one time. Getting the honey bbq sammich, (one of my favorite things), well first it took them about 45 minutes to prepare my order(and I was in the drive through), but then when I got my order, they had messed it up TWICE IN A ROW. Afterwards I refused to pay and went home. I opened up my sammich and the bun was all stale and bits of it had been ripped out(aka, it was moldy bread that they just ripped the mold out of).
I'm allergic to mold. And besides, that's just really gross.

I work fast food... lemme tell ya... it ain't pretty, ok? I go to open a bag of tortillias and notice they're hard and turnning yellow and so I was like, hey I'm gonna throw this out. My manager nearly flipped out on me! She was more worried about the amount of waste that would be than the fact that we would be serving it to our costumers... And then, just the other day I got to work and notice we were all out of our usual straws that are wrapped in paper, so they had gone to the store and bought bendy straws that were not individually wrapped!!! How gross!!! Customers were complaning that it was unsanitary... and it is.... *sigh*

That is all really really gross...

My sister once went to olive garden and she got some fettachini (dont mind my spelling i really should be going back to sleep)... anyway so they people brought it out and in the lighting it was ORANGE... not that nice off white cream color and when they complained about it the waitress took one look at the plate of food and cringed. She was immediately brought something fresher. Apparently they had given my sister the sauce at the bottom of the pot which had become burnt and a bit curdled...

My friend ordered a you bake it pizza once and found over six hairs inside it after they baked it.

I am happy to say that I have never had a fast food restraunt problem... other than them getting the order wrong.. (asking for a big n tastey... getting.. well... some other not as good burger...)

Also when you go to the movies... we have so many little things we have to do to keep you guys food safe. We try to regulate the popcorn freshness and all that, We WASH our hands not once but TWICE before we come out to serve you, we clean counters every half hour or so, we clean our drink machines as well as ALL the other equipment regularly.

And what do I get for all this *pout pout* a few very ungrateful coustomers. Remember people you don't have to buy consessions stuff, fast food or go to eat anywhere for that matter... you can stay home... so don't complain about prices... though I guess even staying at home.. like the milk thing... you can still get sick...

I used to eat at alot of fast food places...
until I found out how to make them better.
The stuff they use at burger king for thier hot and spicy stuff... is just kraft hot and spicy mayo thats ~3$ at the store.
Plus its alot cheaper to just get the stuff from like costco or something, and ya can actually make it with a nice thick slice of tomato *hearts*
oh...
and every time i have been to a... jack in the box... i got super sick afterwords. i dunno whats up with me, but that place = no.
I still like my pesto pizza that some places have though (like cheesecake factory <3)... just fast food is :( style.

I remember when I was about 9 I went to visit my cousins in texas. After I got back from some trip with them, we were uber thirsty and decided to have some milk... now being my cousin, he poured himself some first and took a big gulp.... while he was doing so, I poured myself some and when I turned around he was making the funniest face that I'd seen yet. I thought he was just doing that to make me laugh but the thought of the milk being too old never crossed my mind and I took a big gulp as well.... lol I remember the both of us frantically shoving each other outta the way to get to the sink xD very funny, now that I look back on it ahahaha

Well, this isn't quite what you guys were meaning, but, as a Taco Bell employee, I've seen people do some weird s*** to their food in order to get free stuff.

DON'T TRY THIS STUFF YOURSELVES!!!  IF YOU DO, I SHALL HARVEST YOUR SOUL AND FEED TO JIGGLYPUFF!!!

This guy went through drive-thru and ordered a grande meal; I don't rememberthe exact proportions, but it had some burritos.  Anyway, he came into the store with a partially eaten burrito and said that it had stuff in it.  What was the stuff?  Pocket lint!  You could tell by looking at it that it had just been put there.  It wasn't covered in beans, it didn't look "warm" from being wrapped up in the burrito, and how in the heck would it have gotten in there to begin with?
Instead of giving him a "hassle" he was refunded for the one burrito.  It didn't please him, because he wanted back.  However, he didn't show us the rest.  Maybe next time he'll honor the awesome pricing of $7.90 for ten burritos.  Why  would someone want to rip people off who provide such a nice discount package?  People like that need to be sent to jail, I think.  Better yet,we should be given monetary compensation, because his act of stupidity and greed cost us time that should have been invested in making other people's food, people who were actually worthy of service.

I'll tell you about a food horror!

So once upon a time, I think it was about ten or eleven years ago, I was on a road trip down San Francisco.  After driving pretty much all day, my friend and I rolled in to Redding, which I have come to believe is the worst town in the whole state of California.  It's always about 101 degrees there.  Anyhow, we were tired and hungry, and we found little but a wasteland of trashy fast food joints by the side of the 5.  Eventually we spotted a "Chinese" restaurant.  The first sign that something was amiss was the fact that the only staff in there were a bunch of redneck looking white people.  With some trepidation, I ordered Sweet and Sour chicken.  What I got was basically a bucket of KFC, with a little baggy of  vinegar and a baggy of honey.  I even went so far as to put some of the alleged "Chicken" in my mouth, and chewed it a bit.  It was too rubbery, and yet somehow, grainy, to swallow.  I don't recall if I paid for that sh1t or not, but I ended up eating Taco Bell.

Did you hear about the lady who called 911 over her Western Star burger? I heard it re-played on the radio. It was so funny.

My mom got a slug in her salad at the Inn at the Quay one time, isn't this like the Convention hotel this year?

Me, I forgot to take in the spaghetti I made last night, and had to throw it down the garbage disposal this morning. sigh

Last time I went through Redding it had snowed. Of course it seems like anytime I go to LA it snows in the Grapevine. BUt why would I want to drive to LA in the summer?
Have Fun

You know this thread could actually be very healthy in a sick and twisted way: get grossed out and never eat fast food again!

Anyway~ Dangit, I had a story pop into my head while reading the first page, and by the end of the second page it left again. >.>;

I'm usually cautious of fast food to begin with. One thing that grosses me out to no end is fillers. I hate them. There is just something about biting into a hamburger and feeling something in your mouth that is not beef that just makes me gag.

This is why I either go to old, reliable places that are not heavily franchised... or make my own.

Oh! And here's a fun fact for ya that I heard: The ice cubes in fast food joints have more germs than a toilet bowl. Fuuuuuuun. =D
