okay, this is meant to say embarassing things that have happened when watching anime, or reading manga... i'll start it off ^^

its strange how parents seem to always walk in during an awkward moment. or seem to be in the room when it sounds kinda funny >.>
lets see... one of the moments is when i was watching FLCL, when the dad guy was massaging the.... girl that i forgot the name of >.> how about a reenactment? ^_^
*anime sounds*
me: *cough*
mom: *cough ehem*
me: um... *goes to the next episode*
*blushes* that may not be bad, but i get embarassed easily XD at least she didnt come in when i was watching a yaoi... *phew*

Babysitting my little sister while our parents were out and we were watching Sailor Moon and my little sis is such a fan I have had her watching since she was 4(she is 9 now!) so she was trying to sing the theme song and dance and I joined her for the heck of it and our parents came home and brought their buddies with them.... So yeah me and my little sis in our pjs dancing and singing to Sailor Moon and in comes the grown-up hordes who were all slightly tipsy and they were cooing about how adorable it all was... Then they tried to play my DDR! Death! XP

I was watching the New Cutey Honey in the living room, believing that I was home alone. My youngest sister walked downstairs & saw one of the scenes where she's changing. As it just so happens, I was eating a hot dog for lunch. I guess the way that I was holding it made her think she caught me playing with my "hot dog" to hentai.

I was just starting to get into anime and I decided to rent a random anime from the movie store. I think the name of the anime was "Project Ako," or something like that. I convinced my sister and her friend to watch it with me. They were under the impression that I watched tons of anime so I played it off like I had already seen the anime. Bad idea T__T. Scene 1 comes around and Ako is late for school and this anime is not shy about nudity. As soon as the scene was over my sister and her friend look at me and start with the questions. "Is this the kind of thing you're into?." Well, it wasn't at the time but when I said no I didn't convince them of anything. I was so embarrassed I nearly died. X___X

I was reading one of manga's during class, I think this was in one of my art classes freshman year. Well, I just happen to be reading the scene that involves nudity, when someone walks by me and says loud enough so the whole class can hear, "OMG ARE THEY NAKED!!?? IS THAT PORN??!!" luckily I had all my anime fan friends defend me. I hate people like that.....

When I was watching Akira for the first time, my mom walked in right when the bike gang member ripped off the girl's shirt. That was pretty much the only part she saw too.

And Shadow_Shrine, the same thing, same episode, happened to me during an anime club meeting but it was a school counselor.

Thank gawd both of them are really really understanding.

I cry during anime death scenes. Most touching was Master Asia's death scene in Mobile Fighter G Gundam. That and when a perfectly solid mobile suit gets destroyed puts tears to my eyes.

Haha. I cry during the really happy moments, too. It's not anime, but I ALWAYS cry while watching "I Shouldn't Be Alive" on Discovery Channel. It's really embarrassing. Luckily I usually watch it alone.

My Dad will watch something that I really don't care about but since it's remotely anime-ish he'll watch it thinking I'm interested. That's kinda embarrassing. "Dad, seriously, you don't have to watch this if you don't want to". "No, it's cool". "No, seriously. You don't understand" etc. etc

Watching DBZ with my dad was the worst XD;;

I don't get if you meant KC had a cane with his costume or realy needs one (I saw him with a cane but thought is was for a cosplay at a meeting ware i did not reconize the PC. I'm on a cane or crutches for a few weeks every year and dont walk so good the rest of the time. Please point this guy out if you see him next con.

Oh jeez...

Well, my friend in Colorado was telling me about Bible Black and how we should make costume, haha. We were talking about it in front of my dad and he asked what hentai was. I gave him a short explanation and forgot about it. Later that night I got on the computer and was just checking some websites, when my dad walks in. He asks me if I could show him some Bible Black so he could know what I meant.

Thankful to say he believed me when I told him I couldn't get the link to work.

Seems like any time a parent walks in the room, a character gets her shirt ripped off, or her breasts bounce more than usual. Or she starts going on about feminine issues (periods).

Meanwhile you're kind of just like, "Er.. can.. I.. help you?"

Better yet, try explaining that those 2 characters aren't actually gay brothers.. they're just pretending because the girls like it. Riiiight, pervert.

I remember when I first really got into anime and I started buying ranma 1/2. Well, for the fans of the show... you know that nudity is practically in every episode ne? well, my mom walks in and is like O__o
my response being... "er... yeah... he's a guy.. cold water... um... er... pretty much" *awkward laugh*.
Now mom and I watch it together lol
It's the only one she'll willingly watch xP

Luckily I dont have to worry about too mcuh from my parents. My dad watches anime himself, InuYasha being his all time favorite like jeez he would watch it more than us! And now hes into Bleach, course he admitted hes getting sick of the long battle in Soul Society, but anyway... he understand the whole nutidy in anime thing and Yaoi which he just shakes his head at, he understands its guy/guy but I dont think he quite knows what hidden inside the pages... xD I member explaining Hentai to them a long time ago, lol that was funny. My mom doesnt watch it, but she couldnt care less, shell just walk in on something either give me a funny look and walk away or go "What the heck or you watching?" I simply say "anime." and THEN she gives me a funny look and walks away :lol: :lol:

My dad is kind of a casual fan of anime. If the animation is excellent, he likes it.

In fact, I remember watching Akira when I was very young.. like, 10-13 years ago, and he asked me if I appreciated the animation in the movie..

He's a bit of an artist himself.. ^_^;

Thats cool. We're lucky. Id hate to be my sisters friend, her parents are those kind of parents who LOATH anime, and her mom actually took all her anime, which was a pretty big collection, and threw it all out, but she caught her and got them all back. She crazy...

My mom always seemed to walk in on me when I was watching Ranma 1/2 and girl type Ranma's chest was showing. I think she just pretended it was not there.

My dad would always walk in on me when I was crying like durings Fruits Basket near the end and he would freak out and ask what was wrong haha.

Oh, my dad loves Miyazaki films. Pretty much everyone in my family loves Totoro. We owned the dub on VHS a long time ago. Awesome movie. ^_^

Heh. My I just remembered one time my dad was asking me about some anime he wanted to watch.. didn't know what he was talking about.. he said we watched it all the time.. a boy and his robot.. I'm thinking, "wtf?" Turns out he was talking about Evangelion.

pretty much my bro took me into watching anime when I was a jock which turned me into the nerd jock.... which inturn took my dad into anime and then my mom so we all sit and watch anime together specially my dad my brother and I

worst and most embarrassing thing ever happened to me is I thought I would watch some anime at school so I pop a CD in and it was Beast City.... (quick foot note here for all you people Beast City is a Hentai including tentacles and the like... I am a freshman at the time so 14 years old) so I turn up the speakers on the computer n stuff and click play and kinda watch abit and skip foward... just so happens I skip to a "scene" of tentacles and my jaw drops while the "scene" background sounds are comming through the speakers I tried to grab the mouse as quick as possible to either mute or exit out

I had no idea what it was or anything like that cause my buddy said... hey dude watch this sometime when you have some free time... luckily there was no teacher and I was pretty much the only person in the room granted I got some qierd looks but thats about it...
