Panelists Meeting?

I was looking at the schedual and I saw a panel early saturday that was labeled "panelists meeting" and I was wondering (as a panelist) is this manditory? What goes on in this meeting? Just briefing on how to behave because you're representing the con and such or other things?

Mostly it's a way of the staff knowing that you're actually, you know,
AT THE CONVENTION
so they don't have to worry about dealing with a bunch of angry attendees if you're a no show. There is going to be some programming policy information to go over though. It shouldn't take too long.
