Otaku Olympics

So inspired by another thread, I'm wondering what events you'd want to see in the Otaku Olympics.

I think DDR would be a natural, and I had thought of the long glomp, akin to the long jump. Perhaps something like Cosplay scavenger hunt. And maybe a bargin hunter type thing, give the contestants say $50 turn 'em loose in the dealer's room and whomever comes back with the biggest haul in the least amount of time is the winner, and of 'coarse the haul would be judged for quality, and you have a list or something that they have to get.

What about a costume making contest? A set amount of money (to buy materials), time (obviously, for putting together the costume), and sewing machines are provided, and whoever makes the best costume wins.

2 ideas:

The Anime Marathon.
You must watch every episode of Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT without sleeping.  5 minute bathroom breaks are allowed and food and coffee are provided to maintain energy.

Or

The Anime Iron Man competition.
8 hours of cute anime (CCS, Bottle Fairy, Azumanga Daioh, etc.), 8 hours of hardcore action anime (Fist of the North Star, Dragonball Z, etc.), and 8 hours of weird anime (FLCL, End of Eva, Death/Rebirth, Paranoia Agent, etc.)
Last one to go insane wins.

I'd so be up for that Iron Man competition! That sounds like nothing but pure fun to me. I need to see more of Paranoia Agent anyway, haha

How about a hero pose off?

How about a Chiyo-chan flight contest. Must make a flying vehicle that looks like Chiyo-chan, and has flapping pigtails, and fly. Distance wins.

Hated anime DVD throwing contest, or broken/unplayable DVD throwing contest.

A "girl hunt" contest, get the most actual phone numbers from girls, not of the con! lol

Have Fun

*sigh* I would never, ever medal in that event. I would commit seppuku before sitting through dubbed stuff (ESPECIALLY Saber Marionette J *cries just thinking about it*)

Anakin, you're breaking my heart if you don't come to "I'd Just as Soon Kiss a Wookiee: A Star Wars Panel" at Kumoricon!

I'm up for that.  Maybe then 4Kids will actually be able to sell their dubbed "One Piece" DVDs.

The 100 pose dash - See who is first at posing 100 times.
Catgirl/boy sumo wrestling - What would any Olympics be without some form of wrestling?
Catgirl lifting - Just like it sounds, lift as many catgirls as you can.
The 100 glomp dash - Same thing as the first one, only glomping other people.
The 100 glomp relay - Teams of four glomp each other repeatedly until everyone has glomped the other three 25 times.
Hentai Ball - I'd rather not explain that; just use your imagination, or simply go to the next one.
Martial Arts Tournament - While dressed up as a fighting character, earn hit points, pending that they're legal hits, in a double-elimination tournament.  Two tournaments for weapoin users and non-weapon users.
Glomp-nastics - Score points for the most creative glomping techniques.
Cosplay Rugby - Yes, play rugby in cosplay; it's that simple.
Creation Station Marathon - Write three different forms of fanfics within a six-hour time period (two hours for each).  Everyone must use the same category, but are allowed to choose from a list of series provided by the judges a month in advance.

And finally,...

Pokemon Volleyball - Pokemon cosplayers play indoor volleyball with a giant, rubber Poke-ball.
My cosplay plans for 2022 (thus far): Vanir from Konosuba
My son's plans this year (thus far): Penguin Chiyo-chan from Azumanga Daioh
